Even though it may turn out to be futile, I refuse to give up my optimistic attitude. I've been a SOX fan for 30 years and have maintained this the entire time. And when they finally came through last year it was SO sweet. I know a lot of you can remember that feeling too. We are facing a tough battle to do it again this year, but it is NOT impossible; and if we do somehow make it, it will that much sweeter knowing that I believed that it was possible all of the way. Facing adversity is not bad. No one will hand us the WC, the division, the AL, or the WS. We will have to battle are own inconsistencies and problems to triumph. Obviously, we posess the talent to make it happen. That is probably why so many of you feel frustrated right now. It is also why I will not give up. For myself at least, choosing to believe that it IS possible will increase the joy many times if we do prevail.

I was just telling my friend this morning that it was entirely possible that we both pass the Tigers before it's all over. Of course, this is probably dependant on us kicking some kitty a** this week.
