  1. I am not sure what is confusing about that statement. The way they talk its seems like its Masset's job to lose, and imo, he lost it last year. Wasserman, from what they were saying saturday would be the guy to step up and take the long relief role. I am tired of seeing masset out there. He sucks. He sucked at every level in his career. I don't understand the attraction to him. I fully realize he is out of options, but who cares? He sucks.
  2. I wish they'd just pull the plug on Masset and give the long relief job to wasserman.
  3. I say uribe + pablo until richar gets healthy.
  4. I'd like to trade one of my power htting outfielders for an OF with some speed for some more balance. So dye, dunn, hamilton, cuddyer, and fukudome are all on the block.
  5. That was one of the quickest drafts I've been a part of.
  6. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Mar 15, 2008 -> 05:35 PM) Tucson? 40% chance of shattered thunder showers. Crappy.
  7. What's the name of the town they play in? I want to look at the weather to see if I should plan on watching tomorrow. Hawk said something about crappy weather coming.
  8. QUOTE(The Beast @ Mar 15, 2008 -> 05:14 PM) Eat s*** Murton! I think the Bears just found their new safety, Rouse---cut Archuleta now! How did we get the run before Thome hit his HR? Sac fly line drive by Ramirez in short center. Crede with a nice slide around the catcher.
  9. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Mar 15, 2008 -> 03:49 PM) Uribe looks like he put on some weight this off season ... again. Not to me. He still looks fat as hell, don't get me wrong. Just not fatter.
  10. Rich Hill gone. He looked even worse than his line.
  11. Well Masset pretty much sucks as much as I thought.
  12. QUOTE(PlunketChris @ Mar 15, 2008 -> 03:52 PM) I like Bourgeois.. seems like a good guy to have on the big team in the next year or two, kind of a second coming of pablo.. but hopefully better in the field, though I haven't seen any other games this spring... so I could be wrong/off due to small sample size.. where'd he come from anyway? He was in our system last year. Originally with texas, has been other places too.
  13. He also said Brian is making it hard, then said, no actually making it easy on him this spring.
  14. QUOTE(BearSox @ Mar 15, 2008 -> 12:57 PM) Sweeney's problem isn't mechanics, he's got a great swing... he just has weak forearms and wrists and can't get the bat around fast enough to hit the inside pitch with authority. Plus, I never said mechanics can't be fixed. I'm saying Brian Anderson sucks as a baseball player. So he has a great swing, but its too slow to be effective. How then is it a great swing? Mechanics isn't everything. He also has a hole in his swing, which you just admitted, iirc. Don't bother replying if its just some other fallacious way to justify your man love for Sweeney and disdain for Anderson.
  15. lol, some loud hecklers there for a spring training game
  16. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Mar 15, 2008 -> 02:59 PM) Nick's face looks a lot less fat than I remember. Good stuff. His whole body looks a lot less fat.
  17. I'll take neither for their current contract, attitudes, and health situations over andy gonzalas. Seriously.
  18. QUOTE(BearSox @ Mar 15, 2008 -> 08:24 AM) Well, Sweeney is likely gonna start off at AAA and stay there until he learns how to hit as well. I love Sweeney, but right now he f***ing sucks. Too bad its impossible to improve your mechanics right?
  19. That sucks. He was one of their best hitters this spring. Okay maybe not. But he had a shot a making the team. That's more than I can say for the vast majority of non roster invites.
  20. I realize its indelicate to mention, but I find it odd that the school scholarship fund benefits from this charity, not the families of the recently diseased.
  21. QUOTE(Texsox @ Mar 14, 2008 -> 08:05 AM) My opinion was blatantly misrepresented dozens of times in one post. I'm not going to let that happen and unfortunately you are doing it again right here by applying something I said before to my reaction to something said later.
