QUOTE(ptatc @ Jan 16, 2008 -> 04:13 PM) Not only was he the first one to wear it, he invented it. He got together with a company that made the hockey masks and helped develop it for baseball. I've got a game used bat from him. Bobby Bonds is probably the worst guy I can think of. I don't dislike pplayers if they are bad but try. I dislike them if they are asses. The apple didn't fall far from the tree!!!! Just like hawk and the batting glove? lol

Marte wasn't that bad. If anything, he made me think less of sox fans. He was a young guy that was booed AT HOME each night before he got a chance to redeem himself. Even in his worst year he was a half decent reliever. Its one thing to be booed on the road. You feel like a villian. That's a good thing that can be comfortable. Its another to get booed at home. It just makes you feel like s***. At least in my short sports career, that's how I felt. And before someone asks- no, I wasn't a baseball player, I wasn't that great at playing ball. I was a boxer. Hell, I wasn't even that good at that. Just a normal golden gloves passerby. Made me think we were no better than cubs fans, seriously.

I am not convinced danks has what it takes to be a guy who can pitch 170 innings in a year, even in the minors, as he has never done it. So I went with floyd. I think these guys are better than most though, and both will have unexpected(by people here at least) years.

I would never by an apple product because their commercials burn my retinas and hurt my ear drums.

I ate like 8 valiums and drank a s***load of beer then threw up foam onto my pants two weeks ago. *contributes to a thread for the first time ever*

QUOTE(The Critic @ Jan 13, 2008 -> 10:53 AM) 9000 grains. I think I'm going to bookmark this and try to spend a few minutes every day doing it. I did. Its mutually beneficial.

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jan 13, 2008 -> 02:56 AM) You guys need to look over his stats again, Im not positive but he was really productive in AA wasnt he? And I think his first stint in AAA was pretty positive too but not sure about all that. He put up some good power numbers but he couldn't even hit for average in AAA. Why people thought he would bat above .250 in the majors I do not understand.

QUOTE(palehose23 @ Jan 12, 2008 -> 12:49 PM) He just hit long homeruns and never was a good hitter in the minors and I still hate him so he will not even get this dubious award. I never understood how he got to be considered a prospect. Back then, I didn't even follow the minors, so its easy to say that now, but his numbers were underwhelming.

Billy Koch. Hands down, by far.

Well that makes more sense than my thread title. Wish I would have seen this back then. People died needlessly.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jan 11, 2008 -> 06:13 PM) It worked for Pablo. He had a pretty good season in the minors before that in 04. It was reassuring. Carrasco's season last year was terrifying.
-
Even if he had the best numbers on the team in spring would we give him a chance?

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jan 11, 2008 -> 02:48 AM) Well.. Fogg while overall for his career has struggled had a pretty decent season for the Rockies and was pivitol for them down the stretch. Than besides that Majewski, Frankie Francisco, Jon Rauch, and Matt Guerrier have had some success. Than the jury is still out on guys like Josh Rupe, Gio, Lumsden, Cortez, and De Los Santos. Not 2 mention he apparently really dropped the ball on Fabio Castro. That really is the coolest name in baseball. If there is one move I don't like, it was that. I'm in awe of it every time its mentioned.

I'm planning on it.

I would totally sport that sausage nip sig.

I don't think the danks thing will continue. Not until the second half of next year. The guy just doesn't seem to be an innings eater.
-
I reccomend a whole food vitamin like Nature's Plus Source of life.
-
On a serious note, if I were going to cut off my own hand to eat it, I would make sure I wasn't in such a hurry. I mean, I'd really want to enjoy that, so it would probably be marinated then slow cooked with indirect heat on the bbq.

QUOTE(YASNY @ Jan 10, 2008 -> 10:08 AM) A microwave? Now I know why max power chose that name! It just hadn't dawned on me yet.

Some insightful crap about the past here. I was starting to think that all of the trades that we discussed did not go through. I guess before my time things were a bit different. I'm glad I opened up my mouth. Still, all things considered, only a few moves over the past few years were rumored for the sox. I wonder what other teams are like.

QUOTE(SoxAce @ Jan 9, 2008 -> 09:22 PM) You've got to be kidding me. Of course this doesn't surprise me comming from a poster who would actually eat human flesh (young infants at that) before he passes. No offense of course, but I guess it's your opinion of a smart/casual fan's lack of knowledge. Compared to the general manager the far above average fan would still look like an idiot saying those things. Please tell me how I'm wrong. I made no claims about myself and what I know, only what kenny knows about baseball. -

QUOTE(The Beast @ Jan 9, 2008 -> 09:10 PM) Outmatched by who? Some stupid old farts and some people who have to rag on somone for an unpopular opinion? Please. I hope someone rips him a new asshole. It would be so glorious. By Kenny Williams, obviously. That's who that Q&A thread suggests you confront. -
If I could recommend one thing I think you should consider, it would be to lift really heavy, low reps, squats and dead lifts, at least two days a weak. You won't gain weight from that with a proper amount of cardio, and you'll be stronger after it.

I stopped doing drugs a long time ago. If anything, people should probably do more drugs and not be such quitters like me.
