  1. Olson out here, cleaning up Kopech's mess.
  2. Oh nm, forgot the ST box scores are never right on pitch counts.
  3. Bought tickets to 3 games here in Greenville, to watch W-S April 19-24, that team looks fun to watch.
  4. Imagine if Hahn had worked with the same level of fervor, at the START of the spring...
  5. To add to that, Luis is hitting like he's ready for the season to begin...
  6. Johnny Cueto (36, 2.0) Brett Anderson (34, 1.5) Matt Harvey (33, 1.4) J.A. Happ (39, 1.1) Trevor Cahill (33, 0.9) Tommy Milone (35, 0.6) Mike Fiers (37, 0.3) José Ureña (30, 0.3) Cole Hamels (38, 0.1) Ervin Santana (39, 0.1) Scott Kazmir (38, -0.2) Jake Arrieta (36, -0.2) Tanner Roark (35, -0.7) Julio Teheran (31, -0.9) Mike Foltynewicz (30, -1.1) Félix Hernández (36, N/A) Those are your options, so yeah.....
  7. I'd easily take a flyer on Cueto, and give him a shot, if the price was right. Folks that think you're going to find a legit 2/3 as a FA, at this point in the year, are sorely mistaken.
  8. I venture to say our Cuban scouting has been pretty good, all things considered.
  9. And actually, I said those were stats for 6 years of Seiya...I was wrong, it was actually 7.25 years, so...yeah.
  10. First stats I found, not really worried about comparing BA, but as you say, it is 'so 1985', why would it matter what the difference is between the 2? Also, signing an unknown commodity for 4-5 years, at a position that we were supposedly eyeing for those we've scouted/signed already, seems odd. Pollock is the ideal filler for RF, considering the organization's plans. For every Matsui, there are easily 3-4 Fokudome that come over to play in the majors, hyped up, and are not what folks seem to think they'll be.
  11. Batting average .287 Hits 1,951 Home runs 285 Runs batted in 1,075 Stolen bases 76 9 years Batting average .315 Hits 937 Home runs 182 Runs batted in 562 Runs 548 Stolen bases 82 6 years So you're telling me that Suzuki is far and away better than Fukudome was, while in Japan? Because the numbers say differently...
  12. It DOES feel like true White Sox fashion, to trade away a bullpen guy, the day we learned that another bullpen arm is gone for the season. And yes, we needed to make that trade, just find the timing amusing.
  13. Sure, he has to stay at least a little bit healthy, to really help out. But I'll take the 10 mil oft-injured OFer we needed vs the 16 mil set up man.
  14. Think we'll see Sheets on the block now, tbh.
  15. Like....the guy we just traded for him? I'll take Pollock's "potential" on our roster vs the closer that no one asked for, and at a cheaper price.
  16. Zack Collins sent to AAA, didn't expect that...
  17. TBF, they'll always be the Indians to me. Just like the Sox always will play in Comiskey.
  18. "Vaughn out 1-2 weeks" Hi guys, I'm the RFer now, for 1-2 weeks!
