  1. Imagine making 43 mil from your current team, and then another 15 mil a year for the team you play against? What a world.
  2. On that one, you and I will always 100% agree on. Terrible, terrible move.
  3. Who needs Robbie Ray, when you have the current version of Dallas Keuchel?
  4. Gotta admit, rather embarrassing to not even see the Sox attached to ANYONE really, that has signed. "Resting on our laurels, boys. Heck, we made the playoffs 2 years in a row, we are fine!"
  5. How does Madrigal look, compared to our current second baseman?
  6. Listen, Kimbrel is a GREAT option, as long as you ONLY let him pitch the 9th, have exactly a 2 run lead, it isn't raining, the day is Tuesday-Thursday, and it is after Labor Day. Its so easy to see.
  7. Yeah, even worse, once you factor Heuer in. What a debacle.
  8. Feels like a very White Sox thing to do, to turn Nick Madrigal and his 5+ years of control at minimum salary, into Jean Segura, 14.25 million salary and 1 year, whilst getting a terrible half a season from a closer they didn't need.
  9. Player opt out? Yeah, I'm SURE he will use that....Mets are out here playing 4-d chess against themselves.
  10. Surprising that Scherzer's issues with fatigue in the post season, didn't hurt his value at all. I mean, clearly the best pitcher available, and a great one at that. But...pushing the AAV so far beyond the existing one is some sort of risk for sure.
  11. Except statistically, he has been WORSE away from home. I hate the signing, and glad it was someone else, but who knows, it may completely turn him.
  12. I'm saying, leave it to Texas to sign bad deals, so we don't have to.
  13. Woof. That is terrible, but leave it to Texas to sign bad deals.
  14. 7 years......woof. I wouldn't want any part of that.
  15. First glance, seems like an overpay for him, given the full track record. BUT...as long as we're still going to spend money in other obvious needed places, then so be it.
  16. For sure, but just going on how the organization has operated overall, a few exceptions withstanding, I see us spending any "real" money on 2B/RF, and going bargain bin hunting for pitching. We're not paying any starting pitcher, the current TOR going rates.
  17. Are we talking about the same offense that mustered 6 runs in 3 losses vs the Astros in the ALDS? Because that offense fell on its face pretty hard.
  18. Regardless of Gio and his season, want/need #1 should be a legit second baseman and right fielder. Go scour for some pitching, afterwards. You have to depend on Lynn/Giolito/Cease and a combination of ReyLo/Kopech/etc to fill it out. RF is a barren hole, and second base can't be a 'let Leury have it plus platoon' situation.
  19. I don't think it is safe to say Gio took 'a step backward' this season. His K rate was down, but so were hard hit balls, and walk rate.
  20. You've........seen...how this organization does in the draft, right?
  21. Sad but true. I enjoyed the development of Sheets, AV until the rookie slump woes came....it was GREAT to see Luis destroying the ball when he returned, and Grandal too. There were some good times this season, April and May mostly, if we're being honest with ourselves. Crazy that the best run for the team, came when we had replacement level players starting every game.
