  1. Hell yes, way to go Danksy, helluva performance out there. Andruw, Paulie, Bobby, yes!
  2. 5 hits....5 whole, awesome, motherf***ing hits. Enjoy your bonehead decision-making, losing season Ozzie.
  3. Pathetic. Give me a f***ing break, this team is brutal.
  4. If it weren't for being 1 hit in Toronto, this game would easily qualify as the low point of the 2010 season so far. Shut down by a bad Cleveland team, and an efficient Talbot...
  5. Bechkam is a natural at second, I love to watch him play the field. When his head isn't up his ass, Alexei is pretty solid at SS as well.
  6. QUOTE (Capn12 @ Apr 16, 2010 -> 08:44 PM) I get pretty happy when we get the leadoff guy on, until I see Mark Kotsay hitting next.. And like clockwork...

  8. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 16, 2010 -> 08:34 PM) Teahen looks a lot better than he did a week ago. Yes, Teahen definitely has improved everything about his hitting approach, very happy to see that. I'm hoping that Pierre gets the slappy-ness back to his ABs as well. Also, Rios has, for the most part, had good ABs even when getting outs. Now, if someone can find Kotsay, Konerko, AJ, and Alexei's normal batting approach, and send it on to them, I'll be even happier.
  9. What is there to be so positive about, honestly? Tell me? And thats a silly statement, go to the gamethread for the last game we won, and see how many 'negative' posts I made. I've been around here long enough to give props when its due, but to also point out the glaring bad parts of this team too.
  10. Sweet another leadoff walk. And as for negative/positive posts...I think the sad part is that most of us realize this team isn't 'special' by any means. But most of us know that because of the division we're in, we can possibly hang around long enough to have a shot when it matters. Burying ourselves early on will remove even that possibility.
  11. Man on 3rd, less than 2 outs. Most clubs consider that an automatic run. We're not most clubs.
  12. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Apr 16, 2010 -> 08:23 PM) Great so your a Twins fan ? Cubs fan ? Twins got any weaknesses ? So we're fans of the enemy because we're realistic about what to expect from a badly put together 'smallball' A.L. team?
  13. .211 .268 .237 .212 .143 .238 .212 .147 .217 Thats the averages on this lineup this season after tonights 5 innings. I'm sorry...there is absolutely NO excuse for this garbage product, every f***ing year in April, from this team, regardless of who is in the lineup.
  14. 12 in a row out, sickening. Wake up, slumbering offense...this isn't Arizona Spring Traning anymore...
  15. Talbot is going to get into the "8-12 pitch innings" mode now, god I hate this team sometimes.
  16. Making this WAYYYYYYYYYY too easy for a freaking mediocre pitcher in Talbot.
  17. But SERIOUSLY...what is the point of having Randy Williams on this team?
  18. Garcia, Daniel Hudson says "Oh hi, I didn't see you there."
  19. Freddy Garcia better hope the warranty on the smoke and mirrors approach he uses, is good for 162 games. You can see it in his approach, he is going to get torched this year eventually.

Lets play a game called "Who is more consistent, and who is Mr. Glass", shall we? Strictly on durability alone, there is no contest. By the numbers, both men are slowing down due to wear and tear/age etc, so the SB numbers are declining for both. Also, don't tell me Pods gets on base anymore than Pierre either, as you can tell by the numbers above, overall that is not the case. Part of that goes back to the durability issue. Pierre is making 3 million from off of the Sox payroll this year(LA paying $7 mil for 2010 and $3.5 mil in 2011), and just 2 years/$8 mil overall. Pods is making 1.75 million from the KC payroll, but WANTED a multi-year contract talks to even consider the White Sox. Pods is a great 'flavor of the week' right no for KC, because he is no doubt producing big time. But history, statistics, and plain ole common sense tells you that, in the long run, the guy on our current team is the guy that should be on our team. Use some common sense.
  21. Go figure, we go out and dominate, and the game thread only reaches 23 pages. If that score were opposite, there'd be 50+ game thread pages, and at least 4 new threads about "xxxxxx needs to be FIRED!/Benched/Traded!!" Go you White Sox, nonetheless
