Looks to me like this game shouldn't even be being played, but what do I know.

Seems to me we have a few people who fall into the "I'm a s***ty hitter with RISP this year." category. No one is saying Pierre should have a "free pass" in those situations whatsoever. What I AM saying, is that I can live with him not being a top RBI guy at the top if he is getting on base, and those behind him are doing their jobs, a la driving runs in. Right now he sucks almost more than anyone with RISP (Hi, Gordon!). That obviously has to improve. But not his major need in this lineup.

QUOTE (greg775 @ May 15, 2010 -> 04:26 PM) I know he's had a good May. I pointed that out while still saying he and his pitty pat bat sucks. He's on pace for about 15 RBIs this year. If one of our biggest concerns, is driving in runs from the leadoff spot, we have FAR bigger issues. I don't care if Pierre drives in 10 runs all year, as long as he is hitting and getting on base. Let those whose job it is to drive runs in, do their job.

I honestly don't have as big a problem with Juan Pierre on this team as I do with Omar Vizquel, Mark Teahen, Randy Williams, Ramon Castro. Those guys have absolutely no value to this/ANY team whatsoever.

10.25 mil still owed to Mark Teahen over 2 years. That makes me vomit into my mouth.

QUOTE (greg775 @ May 14, 2010 -> 10:14 PM) Omar actually got a hit. You should want Oz for playing Teahen if anybody. What a f***ing stiff. Like others say, at least we gave him an extension!

Teahen 'ole' that ball? C'mon...

QUOTE (greg775 @ May 14, 2010 -> 10:02 PM) Cmon. Oz may suck but gimme a break. Mark got duck snorted to death and it sounds from the radio guys like Teahen did something wrong on that one hit. Kinda dove over a ball that possibly could have turned 2

This is so frustrating to watch, it really is. But I'm not sure what was expected with such a joke of a lineup we have.

QUOTE (greg775 @ May 14, 2010 -> 09:40 PM) How many wins? It'd be nice to have him atop our order instead of Slappy. Man, seriously...don't start the Pods BS again. He is cooling off tremendously, he is not ALL that. And besides, we've rehashed it a million times. Pods wanted 3 years, the Sox didn't. Thats it.
-
GT: White Sox @ Royals, 7:10PM, CSN, WSCR670
Oh my goodness!! Pods stole a base!! My heart goes a flutter.

QUOTE (Heads22 @ May 14, 2010 -> 08:17 PM) I wish we had a Catfish tracker. You know Hawk is just thrilled that he has someone new and different in the booth this weekend, to run through all of his Catfish Hunter references, Carl Yaz memories, Ted Williams, etc.

Would be nice if AJ would do his job as a #2 hitter, instead of swinging at first pitch.
