  1. You think Garcia looks solid? Ugh...I'm watching a different game then, because the Garcia I'm watching looks like absolute s***, and will be lucky to get 5 IP in
  2. A locked in offensive team would have completely unloaded on Garcia tonight, we're lucky that the Twins are scuffling a bit.
  3. LOTS of Garcias pitches are very flat right now...just laying them in there...they aren't gonna be hit at people all night, he better get it going.
  4. Garcia is getting hit hard, we've gotten some luck in where they were hit to. He isnt there yet, where he needs to be.
  5. Theres a Sonic down the road from me here in South Carolina. Nothing special IMO. I'd rather hit the In-n-Out in Vegas 10 times over.
  6. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Apr 21, 2006 -> 01:01 AM) LOL, I look at this guys picture and think to myself "Man, that guy looks surprised to be there." Heh, to me he looks like hes thinking "Finally, I've achieved my goal of a professional mugshot! Oh glorious day!!"
  7. I always watch the Sox at Caesars Palace or the Bellagio. As for eats, not sure where on the Strip you are staying, but I'm always partial to the Victorian Room at Barbary Coast. Open 24 hours, and very good food for cheap. Always try to hit up the Cheesecake Factory in Caesars Palace when I'm there also. Been there 11 times I think, and never fail to do the above things.
  8. Had a pretty solid run last year on starting these things, and since everyone else is scared of Johan, I'll get us going here!! Santana (0-2, 5.71) vs. Buehrle (2-0, 2.25) Not the best track record against Johan obviously, but I didn't realize it was this bad last year: The crafty left-hander actually went 4-0 (16-7 overall), with two shutouts and a 0.92 ERA, in five starts against Chicago last season. The White Sox hit just .175 against Santana with 44 strikeouts.
  9. QUOTE(BobDylan @ Apr 19, 2006 -> 03:56 AM) I was one to ciritsize the Sox early on after a 1-4 start, but they look ready to take off. When and if Politte and Cotts kick it into high gear, the Sox could run away with it again...even with how good Cleveland is. This Sox team is really, really good. Thome has been an amazing addition. Not to mention for once, Konerko is off to a torrid April, something new to him. He in the past always seemed to bury himself in a hole to start the season. Between he and Crede really coming out of the gates hitting, and the Thome addition to protect Konerko, things look good.
  10. Well, all is FAR from perfect in the ChiSox world we enjoy.....BUT... winning 8 of 9 goes a long way towards not nitpicking about our issues!

If you are looking at someone in the bullpen to worry about... see Cliff Politte
  12. Wishy-washy Sox fans??? On Soxtalk?? I REFUSE to believe that!!
  13. Player TEAM W L ERA G GS CG SHO IP H R ER HR BB SO J Garland CWS 1 1 13.94 2 2 0 0 10.1 23 16 16 2 3 8 That equates to one hellacious WHIP right now. Surely, even if Garland doesnt match his success of last year, things will improve. Lets go extend the Royals losing streak 1 more day!!
  14. Shoeneweis had ALL the tools to be successful, but lacked the mental fortitude I guess. Hopefully Thornton can figure it out mentally with the help of Coop.

Eh, I dont see 3 of the best movies ever on that list, what the f***?!?! Chopper Chicks in Zombietown Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama I Dismember Mama
  16. Thornton looked pretty solid today. The Tigers got a couple of well placed hits, other than that I like to think it was a productive outing with the game semi-on the line.
  17. Does Pods look a bit lost at the plate sometimes? Yes But I think he needs a few weeks before we start bagging on his hitting. He missed time in ST, and when you are in that leadoff spot, trying to set the table for the offense, your woes are ALWAYS magnified even more. I think Pods will be fine, its nice to see Gooch completely break out of his ST woes right away though.
  18. Thats right boys. Keep building that deficit early on in the season against one of the worst teams in all of baseball. :headshake
  19. My first post for the new season. Javy looking like a stud. Offense looking like a spud...we are so not hitting right now, but 2 hits off of the Royals is good ya?
  20. 44 I need help.
  21. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Mar 28, 2006 -> 02:04 PM) We were charged $6,999 at a Holiday Inn once. Parlayed that into some priority club points that ended up quealing like 5 free stays. Yep, Heads paid $49 for the room for the night, and $6,950 for buying "Forrest Hump" on the adult channel 556 times.
  22. Another Dave Odom special. Goddamn this team frustrates the hell outta us South Carolina backers. Just plays dead for the first 2/3rds of the season, then come SEC tourney time, Hey!! we're a real basketball team!! 1 fluke tipin from beating Florida in the championship, and here have beaten Florida St and Cincy on teh road, on the way to the NIT Final Four. If they get past Louisville, they can repeat as NIT champs. But is it something that I'm gonna be bragging about??
  23. Quality. Parnell and Meyers are really starting to make a name for themselves with their writing and such on SNL. Good to see some new life in SNL after the s*** that has been on there post-Ferrell.
  24. You Can't Do That on Television - was a ritual for me, i'm 28 though but watched it daily. Double Dare - Obstacle Course, need I say more? Lancelot Linc, Secret Chimp - Creators of this HAD to be on acid, but it was damn funny. Mr. Wizard - Used to watch it every morning at 6:30 AM!! Nick Arcade - Looking back now, man that show was cheesy Figure It Out - Summer Sanders was HOT!! I still watch Nickelodeon Games and Sports channel now, at age 28, to see old episodes of "Finders, Keepers", "Double Dare", Legends of the Hidden Temple, etc.
