  1. QUOTE(chimpy2121 @ Aug 30, 2005 -> 02:26 PM) I know Brian made one but if you want I could try to make you a SC one. That's number 3 on my list of colleges. Give it a go Chimpy....I'm stoked about college football, we start it all off on ESPN in 48 hours!! Brian, nice start! If possible, I'd REALLY like some garnet in there with the black. We finally went back to the real garnet jerseys, instead of the horrid red ones Lou commissioned for us.
  2. QUOTE(YASNY @ Aug 30, 2005 -> 05:50 AM) Don't click on threads that are labeled as being about Timo and you just might be able to avoid some of them. Now now YAS, don't go throwing sense and logic into posts in PHT...
  3. Good job Baj! Hope you enjoyed your 2005 season in the majors! :headshake Oh well, the decisions that have to be made I guess.
  4. QUOTE(YASNY @ Aug 30, 2005 -> 02:48 AM) 1. You shouldn't have to worry about power mad mods. If a mod gets out of line, the other mods and admins will address it. 2. That's not a bad idea, but as it is, if you don't thing a thread is worthy, just don't post in it. In fact, if everybody just ignored it instead of 30 resposes saying stupid thread, it will just fade away. 3. Follow my advice above and "a whole thread" becomes just a soon forgotten single post. Yeah, I use that approach for any topic YAS starts!
  5. Bill Simas and Bobby Howry were to me, at times in their Sox career, just absolutely brutal to watch out there. And since I was a main supporter of our last closer here before Shingo, I won't mention his name, I can't honestly attack his pisspoor job on the mound...
  6. Someone should make a USC Gamecocks one for moi, and not mention probation, Holtz, dirty players, etc....all positives!
  7. I think its kinda wrong to say Danny Wright was a hated guy in the Sox history. The kid gave everything he had out there when on the mound, things just didn't work out for him. And then his arm went to s***, it was a bad thing to see happen to anyone.
  8. Lets just all agree that coming out right after the bad performance and making such comments was not a real smart thing to do by Buehrle, and leave it at that. It would have served him better to just tell his coaches and teammates to look out for it the next 2 days, tehn saying anything to the press.
  9. Hmm..I'm a bit confused as to what you are asking...AJ Fan club? if so, why the pukey smiley...
  10. Umm....ok the one thing I noticed when looking at Shabakas film resume...they are making a Miami Vice movie...are you f***ing serious? Jamie Foxx and Colin Farrell as Tubbs and Crockett.... So when should I expect the Bosom Buddies movie?
  11. Off topic here, but Kid Gleason...everytime i see a post of yours, i just sit and watch those amazing special effects on your avatar!! Thats good stuff.
  12. Well ya know, 4 errors against a good hitting team...doesn't really leave you much chance to win the game. I'm quite comfortable with where the Sox are right now, considering how banged up we are. People are getting their rest and trips to the DL right now before every game means something big. No Chicken Little complex for me, things will be fine.
  13. Ya still got lots of that stuff stashed away from my younger days. I still hold on to my 2000 team signed baseball from Picnic in the Park. Got everyone on it except Mr. Jose Valentin, who skipped out on the charity event and from what I hear, got a nice earful for doing so by management.
  14. Just throwing this out there from the Suntimes: Here is the whole article.
  15. Brad Radke, Johan Santana, Randy Johnson, Felix Hernandez, Jamie Moyer. Those are 5 of the first 6 pitchers Anderson faced. Not exactly the American League pitchers welcoming committee. We really don't have anywhere for Anderson right now. Adkins, yeah he has no real use right now either, but if theres a laugher of a game from here on out, we have that mop up pitcher to save the arms of those that do matter.
  16. Before 2005, the words "rookie pitcher starting against the White Sox" would have let me know my time would be better spent watching paint dry than watching our hitters look silly. Luckily it isn't the case anymore.
  17. I'm sure Steff is getting the restraining orders printed up as we speak...
  18. Timos place on the team has come into its own while Pods was on the DL. You can say what you want, hell I've been a huge Timo basher, but IMO he filled in more than admirably for Pods at the top of the lineup, he and Ozuna both. As long as Timo goes back to his role as late inning PHer once Pods is back, all is well in my ChiSox life.
  19. Headed to Atlanta on September 8th for the Foozer concert!! Foo Fighters, and Weezer. While I'm not overly enthused about seeing Weezer, I still like alot of their stuff. Its because of Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel, and Chris Shiflett that I'm pumped.... HUGE Foo fan here, and this is the first time I get to see the guys in action.
  20. And the info, for those who just assume that USC's "woes" are because of a dirty Holtz program. Look at those MAJOR infractions! Its a shame to see Holtz's last go round as a head coach be tarnished by some mistruths that are being spread out there.
  21. QUOTE(bulokis @ Aug 26, 2005 -> 12:39 AM) How is Sean Burroughs at 3rd? Maybe a change of scenery will do him good. Insurance if Crede continues to falter. His work ethic has come to question a few times also. All the tools to be a very good third baseman, just none of the effort.
  22. I will always favor a Craig Kilborn-led Daily Show over any....I think its the ESPN/ dry humor combo that I always liked about Kilborns version. Jon Stewart definately has his moments, but I'm not an avid follower of the political side of things. Sports, OTOH....well thats probably why I identified with Kilborn.
  23. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Aug 20, 2005 -> 04:57 PM) Let the cleanup from the dirty Holtz era begin... Those "major" infractions are laughable at best. I know many people are just looking for a reason to throw Holtz under the bus, but please, this is ridiculous. The NCAA investigates us for 3 years, and this is what they come up with? Nice to see the funds used in such a meaningful way.
  24. Judging by the way we've played on teh road vs. at home....I'm not so desperate to have home field advantage throughout the playoffs... I'm just sayin...
