i think it was KO. he was saying that last year he thought the sox were good enough to get to and, i think he said this, win the world series. i think the change in manager and total attitude enema will do wonders for this team. they just may surprise the hell out of us. i know i wasnt too sure about the season but i love what i have seen so far.

he pitched pretty damn well against the NY All Stars, IMO, considering people were saying how much crap he is. if that is crap, i'll take it.

yes it does. if you put it in play, there is a chance for an error and a chance to get on base. getting on base as an error doesnt count towards your batting average. i'd rather have a guy that can put the ball in play.

i also dont get the Royals love. they got some power in the line up but they have no pitching. Also, Sweeney and Juan seem to be hurt more often than not. unless they are in there for a majority of the year, i dont seem them equaling what they did last year.

this is a far cry from the mono tone of JM. i like to see the manager having fun and joking. that makes the players loose and not pressing. thus, they will play better.

yea. i really didnt see the big deal with it. it is not like he is demanding a new contract. he said he wish he was getting paid more but he really can complain with what he gets. and yes, 6 mill for a hitter like him is under market.

think about this. why are the cubs doing this? publicity. plain and simple. and it is working. yea, it is dumber than a box of rocks but it is doing the job it was supposed to. i just wish the sox were able to come up with this type of marketing.
