I made another thread title. 2 in one week. Anyway, KW put it better than I did. (I am still not a KW fan)I have no problem with the White Sox trying to protect one of their young pitchers, especially their best one.

Many years ago they had a 16" home run hitting contest at old Comiskey Park before a game. They had 3 or 4 guys hitting from second base and they were having no problem jacking them on the roof. It was impressive.

Beckham has a lot of talent. People forget his second half of 2010 before he broke his hand. He had an .875 OPS. There's no reason he shouldn't put up an .800 + OPS every year. Hopefully its coming to him now. He was starting to look much better before he got some hits, and now the hits are coming. I still think he's a stud of a player.

Dunn, Beckham and Rios the offensive stars. What are the odds?

I don't despise Rogers as much as most. I like reading him. He blasts KW all the time and I don't mind it since I don't think much of KW's body of work the last several years, but this is exactly the type of move he's blasted KW for making the past few years. It makes zero sense. Youkilis is constantly on the DL, his production is slipping quickly and he makes a ton of money. Why would you trade Thornton and Floyd with Youk being the big piece back? If you really wanted Youkilis, I bet you Boston would give him away if you took all the money and would give him up for just about anyone saving them cash.

Since last year's all star break, he's hitting something like .205 with a .645 OPS. If you hate Gordon Beckham, Kevin Youkilis may cause you an annuerism.
