  1. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ May 28, 2006 -> 02:50 PM) Anderson needs to be patrolling CF. And Jenks needs to be on the bump. Ozzie has granted both of your wishes.
  2. I was all for leaving BMac in, but that inning was a little long. Bring in Jenks.
  3. QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 28, 2006 -> 02:38 PM) I know that he did look good, but you still can't call 5 ER a good outing. Exactly. His already bloated ERA actually went up today. 6 innings isn't exactly what Ozzie is looking for either.
  4. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 28, 2006 -> 02:33 PM) If the big guy doesn't start the 9th...anger will be present in this thread. I actually wouldn't mind McCarthy going back out there. He's dealing.
  5. BMac makes quick work of the Blue Jays.
  6. That was a nice play by Paulie and Uribe.
  7. BMac finally gets ahead of a hitter.
  8. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ May 28, 2006 -> 02:25 PM) Jon on pace to break record for HRs allowed. He can get his name in the record books. Maybe thats something to build on.
  9. Mack did his job. Now get Anderson in the game.
  10. QUOTE(Ndgt10 @ May 28, 2006 -> 02:20 PM) Pods hasn't been the best out there, but that ball hit by Wells was smoked. Also, the sun/shadows may have interfered with his sight. This is the major leagues. That ball is caught in just about any American Legion game that is played.
  11. QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 28, 2006 -> 02:19 PM) Level of Trust: Jenks Cotts Thornton BMac Cliff Nelson And it gets real shaky very quickly as you go down the list.
  12. QUOTE(WSoxMatt @ May 28, 2006 -> 02:17 PM) Podsednik could be the worst LF in the AL I wouldn't go that far, but most of his miscues this season seem to be from a lack of concentration.
  13. QUOTE(Ndgt10 @ May 28, 2006 -> 02:16 PM) So you want to move Garland into the pen? Talk about a great deal for Garland. Making all that money to pitch a couple innings a week. Garland has set himself up with a great life for being, outside of the first 2 months of 2005, a mediocre pitcher. Good job by BMac pitching over pitiful defense.
  14. Who wants Pods out in CF?
  15. QUOTE(Ndgt10 @ May 28, 2006 -> 02:14 PM) Good job by Brandon...one more out and we will still have the lead going into the 8th. He's done his job so far. I'd like to see him get ahead of their power though.
  16. QUOTE(Ndgt10 @ May 28, 2006 -> 02:11 PM) All you can ask for from your starting pitcher is to keep his team in the game. That's what Jon did and he even has a chance to win it. GMAB. The guy almost pissed away a 5 run lead.
  17. QUOTE(winninguglyin83 @ May 28, 2006 -> 02:10 PM) time for BMac to stand and deliver. And a vote of total no confidence in Cliff. The no confidence vote happened against Oakland when Ozzie removed him for Jeff Nelson to face Frank.
  18. Some more for Garland to build on. Take him out.
  19. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 28, 2006 -> 02:01 PM) f*** those numbers, he was looking fantastic until that inning. Wasn't the one real bad inning his problem prior to last season? He has talent, and will pitch an occassional gem, and its possible he will have a year like last year again, but more likely he is was he is. A #4 or #5 starter.
  20. QUOTE(Ndgt10 @ May 28, 2006 -> 02:01 PM) I think Jon can build on this start. Besides this one bad inning, he has pitched very good. I look for Jon to use this outing as a stepping stone to the rest of the season. If you can build on a start where you give up 3 homers and one missed by 5 feet in 6 innings, and make your team struggle for a win after giving you a 5 run lead, you must not be very good.
  21. I was watching ESPN this morning, and they mentioned the White Sox vaunted pitching staff has an ERA of over 5.00 and a batting average against of nearly .300 on the road.
  22. This is the situation that Manuel would yank Garland out of the game, much to Hawk's ire.
  23. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ May 28, 2006 -> 01:55 PM) Its kind of fitting that Garland gets donked right after Hawk into a THIS IS VINTAGE JON GARLAND OF 2005. LMAO
  24. Take his ass out of the game.
  25. Hawk and DJ really look like fools right now, basically putting Garland into the Hall of Fame, and then he allows back to back gopher balls. Thats 3 homers he allowed today, 1 near miss, and 3 he allowed his last start. He really sucks right now.
