Sox @ Angels - ALCS Game 4
QUOTE(Wanne @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 08:56 PM) I'd have like to have seen a suicide with Gooch up....WHY NOT!?!? That is considered bush league at this stage. It might have gotten Dye a ball in the earhole.

QUOTE(jphat007 @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 08:55 PM) We're gonna regret not scoring that run from 3rd. If you had a 9 run pool, most definitely.

Sox @ Angels - ALCS Game 4
The one problem and its a problem I would love to have every October, with the lack of bullpen work, if the Sox somehow won tomorrow and the bullpen didn't get much work, the WS doesn't start until a week from tonight, so some of these guys wouldn't have seen the mound in 3 weeks.

I leave Freddy in for Vlad, just to try to get him to hit another grounder, and make him think about it for 24 hours. A homer off a rusty pitcher could get him going. As good as this series looks, a break could turn it all around. The Angels did beat the Sox 5 times in a row at USCF this season.

I know they usually let that go, but it should be called like it just was.

What about Hermy? He didn't even pitch against Boston.

Whether they bring anyone in or not, I just hope they totally shut them down and keep them demoralized. Scoring a few runs the last couple innings may put their minds in a better place tomorrow. Kick em while they're down.

AJ would be the first to say that was pitiful.

QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 08:30 PM) Antonio Osuna. He's Mr. Pessimism. Maybe he's a genius using reverse psychology.

QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 08:29 PM) Garcia needs one more inning and we don't need to relive the Marte experience. Ozzie isn't crazy enough to put in Marte don't you think?Hopefully he is just getting some work in.

QUOTE(jphat007 @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 08:23 PM) You're not a fan of Ozzie? My past posts indicate why. He was exceptional in the Boston series though, and I do appreciate the playoff performance thus far.

I'm no fan of Ozzie, but I do like how he pronounces "little monkey"

QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 08:20 PM) If these calls were going against us, we'd be like Angel fans That's a given, but its nice to be on this side of things for a change. I do think if we were on the other side and our offense had been performing like the Angels has been, we would be wise enough to know we would probably be losing anyway.

Sox @ Angels - ALCS Game 4
QUOTE(fathom @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 08:18 PM) Why are we complaining about the calls so much? They missed some of them, but that happens a lot in baseball. Umps very rarely call a guy out in that Pods situation from this inning. We just have to make sure we capitalize on these breaks, and win this f***ing game. That's right. Buck and McCarver didn't question the call until they saw the replay. They never even mentioned it was close. Calls go against every team.

QUOTE(SadChiSoxFanOptimist @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 08:13 PM) Colon can't pitch cause he's too damn fat. finger ! Thank God we couldn't afford him and had to settle for our top 4 : Scotty P on base again!! Looks like overcompensating for his bad back f***ed up his shoulder. His elbow isn't supposed to be in stellar shape either.

Its time for the Sox to light this dope up.

Sox @ Angels - ALCS Game 4
Crede was stealing to get in scoring position. If he gets thrown out, which he did, then Pods leads off the next inning. Its not a bad play.

QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 07:53 PM) Podsednik is playing flyballs like a little leaguer. I think he is having a problem with the lights.

Sox @ Angels - ALCS Game 4
Buck is saying the non interference kept at least 1 run off the board, how does he figure? That would have loaded the bases, and Garcia fanned the next 2 guys.

Sox @ Angels - ALCS Game 4
QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 07:44 PM) Both replays look like blown calls in our favor. If we were the Yankees, could you imagine the uproar? LOL I wish they didn't bring it up so much, but it is the story of the game. I'll bet some player or coach will go nuts after the game. What's weird is they just keep mentioning the blown calls. In the NL game there was a foul ball ruled fair that stymied a STL rally. They just said that looked like it was foul and let it go.

Great drinking game...
How about everytime Rowand grounds to short you drink. On second thought you might not want to do that, you'd probably die.

JON FOCKING GARLAND
QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 09:17 PM) I can remember when it was vogue to post that we should trade Garland. I always knew he could be this good, the reality is, he can be better. Should of been a shut out, and I hope that the Garland realizes that he was 1 pitch away from that. SB KW did trade Garland. He luckily was then rejected by the former ownership of the Angels.

AND THATS A WHITE SOX PLAYOFF WINNER
QUOTE(Antonio Osuna @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 09:13 PM) We just guarenteed a Game 6 in Chicago. Huzzah. Write off tomorrow as a loss; Santana is unhittable. Let's just hope we don't let Byrd beat us twice. Hats off to Garland. I didn't think he had it in him tonight. He clearly did. I thought the Sox would really have a tough time tonight considering Lackey has been tough on them this year and had really been pitching well, and Garland had an ERA over 7.00 against them this year. This is a huge win. Go out and beat them tomorrow.

Konerko made himself a few million tonight.
