  1. This is lateral move or a downgrade but it sounds like he was not a fan of the OU move to the SEC and he can now compete with about as much competition as the Big 12 had.
  2. You have to feel for the guy. He seemed like a good fit and is still a good person. I am concerned how this inabilities were not seen in the interview process.
  3. Maybe the White Sox will do the smart thing with the new budget news, eat some salary and get a legitimate prospect or two. That won't help the old men in the room but will replenish what was lost on this trade.
  4. Until Pace has a boss that can lead the organization they are going nowhere. Even if they fire Pace and Nagy, they have nobody in the organization with any football knowledge to hire the next guys. Some outside source will tell Ted who to hire and in 4 years they will fail and be fired as they try and learn on teh job. Neither Pace nor Nagy has gotten better at their job.
  5. You are divorced from reality. What the White Sox do not do is cripple themselves with free agent contracts. They may sign some bad ones but they are not crippling themselves over bad signings. We as fans don't like it but it worked. Who did you want them to sign last offseason?
  6. Is MLB going to the Ivy leagues and seeking out candidates or are the candidates going of the Ivy's seeking out MLB jobs. My opinion is that if you are a person of color you seek out a more secure opportunity upon entering the professional field than that offered in the MLB. When Hanh took the job he was grossly underpaid but had a support system that allowed for him to do that. The White Sox basically told Hahn he was stupid for taking on what essentially was an internship while a long list of educational accomplishments. Do POC want to take that route?
  7. Barry Sanders & Calvin Johnson retiring in their prime from the same team
  8. Am I reading this correctly that this happened when the kid was 15 or16? (19 currently, happened NYE 2017 thus he was 15 at the time?????
  9. Same pool, better lighting and new lockerroom
  10. As stated a page or so back I am the biggest fair weather Bulls fan alive and I gotta tell ya they are fun to watch. As a a fair weather fan I only watched the first half before retiring for the evening. That being said, I can't help but continue to hate the idea of the super team/ good old boys NBA club mentality. I knew AD and Lebron were together and then.....there was Westbrook, Melo and Howard. I know Melo and Howard are shells of their former selves but it is obnoxious and irritates me.
  11. You are not wrong on any of your takes.
  12. Yep three times in one calendar year. If they win Saturday may play Rita for championship. Place went nuts when they won.
  13. Something that has not been discussed on this board that everyone needs to take into account as it became glaring in the post season was how beat down starting pitching was because of the short 2020 season. This may have played a role in Kimbrel's tapering off who knows. The White Sox tried to mitigate this but were unsuccessful.
  14. Why did he fall to the second round? Serious question as I only watch the Bulls and Illini when they are good. I watched the Illini last year and beginning to watch the Bulls this year.
  15. Going to be a looooooooooong off season. Unless the Sox spend $500M signing free agents it will be a failure. They need a 2B, organizational depth, a couple bullpen arms and maybe a starter. People cannot grasp that young players get better and as such the White Sox offense should inherently be better simply by being more seasoned. I just watched post season baseball and the White Sox as currently constructed are not behind of those teams....maybe the Dodgers but the Dodgers rotation is a mess.
  16. The only way it makes sense is if there is a market for Kimbrel. I can't see there being one and if there is not then it is an indefensibly stupid move. If they think he can have value to the White Sox in 2021 or there is a different plan for the bullpen then maybe it make sense. To go into the offseason with the idea of tradign him without have an gauge on his market is the height of stupidity and Hahn is not an idiot. A team trades for him because they are guaranteed to get him. In the open market you never know what can happen.

If this is in Chicago, Ulta considers it the price of doing business. In an attempt by the city to have these stores in lower income areas the city makes them put stores in certain areas in order to allow them into other areas. If Best Buy wants to open in Lincoln Park, they have to open a store in Englewood. That was the policy 10 years ago, I am not certain if it still is.
  18. If/when the Bears fire Pace and Nagy they will hire two people that sound great but neither will have experience what so ever of doing their job then when they fail everyone will sit back and wonder why. Until there is an experienced football executive in the building nothing will change.
  19. Bowman is getting into the Gar/Pax area of how he keeps his job. Colliton is a Bears hire level disaster.
  20. MLB being antiquated. I also believe any review, in any sport should be given 60 seconds if you are not certain in 60 seconds move on.
  21. I said this back on page four and was told I do not know how baseball works. I still stand by the idea that the framework was in place at the deadline and conversations were held.
  22. When pitchers can't throw breaking pitches because the catcher cannot handle them it becomes an issue.
  23. This is a big deal because it happened to the Boston Red Sox that is all.
  24. Wanna get rid of sign stealing use technology and ear pieces to communicate like the NFL does. Seems rather simple.
  25. I received a full refund for unplayed games last Friday. My season tickets are paid monthly so I did not want to carry over so the credits were applied to my card without issue.
