  1. WTF is with the hit by pitches. I know it's not 1967 but at some point there needs to be something done.
  2. Dane Dunning didn't make it out of the first innning last year so we won the trade. THE BIG BASTARD
  3. It's the variety of fastballs and location that makes it work similar to Bartolo Colon later in his career.
  4. Ball 1 was a strike in the top of the first
  5. Need to lay off the offspeed stuff...I know it is easier said than done.
  6. I have been wondering if there is some sandbagging going on here.
  7. Lefties are better at holding runners so we have that. I really thought Cesar would be there as a left handed bat. I like the defense.
  8. The batting order is usually how they hit in the cage so the lineups should somewhat be known. That is the origin of group 4.
  9. Dodgers did that because it was for one game.
  10. I agree but last year's version of this thought process was the most valuable in the game 3 debacle and kept them in it.
  11. You think Cease does not pitch game 4?
  12. Also Ruiz is also more comfortable in the pen. I agree that neither is good option and Keuchel could be useful if the game goes 12+ innings. Lopez also makes Keuchel useless as he can go 3+ innings.
  13. They need to lay off of the slider and Engel will struggle to do that. The LHH neutralize that to a degree.
  14. Ruiz can get a K, Keuchel can get you innings.
  15. Do you want defense in RF or don't you? Either he or Leury are starting and Engel will start tomorrow.
  16. I posted in the game thread asking if Hamilton could hit left handed would he start in LF? Need to get as many LHH hitters in the lineup as the White Sox RHH are susceptible to that slider.
  17. I wonder if Hamilton is healthy enough to hit left handed and if so is he in LF today over Garcia? Have to have every leftie in this game to try and neutralize the slider.
  18. The White Sox are not pinch hitting for anyone in this series so the bench will not be used. Leury will start in right today so they needed an infielder. I think Rodon will get game three and if he is not 100% Keuchel will replace him in this series thus an option in game 4 or 5 if needed.
  19. It should be avoided at all cost.
  20. Is it all the asshat trolls finding a way in who will be let down as the Sox play well. I want the Sox to win but I also just want them to play well, have good at bats and continue to show that the team is made for this. You cannot control the outcome but you have a say in it.
  21. The Sox having home field does not guarantee you a playoff game one way or another. Both teams in that round are only guaranteed two home games.
  22. Maybe I am wrong but Giolito is a creature of habit and likes to go on 4 days rest. I am not certain if he has ever pitched on three days rest...although I am not certain if Lynn has either. I think if Giolito's stuff is not there on a given day he will get hit hard while Lynn can get by more on guile. Similar to when Kimbrel gets hit, it is a run or two as opposed to a full blown implosion of an outing. I also could see Lynn being better out of the pen in a game 4 than Giolito and then Giolito has game five. To me Lynn has the better makeup to be a better pitcher when the circumstances are more chaotic. I have no science behind this other than watching them for a number of years.
