  1. I hate to think this way but the longer there is no word the more likely to me that this is a major injury or that it is nothing and he is day to day. Not reporting and trying to fill the spot externally is what I am looking at and hopefully it is just an ASB thing in that case. Day to day is obviously best case and that is why he and Burger just have "discomfort".
  2. Who is the guy that is now catching? Never heard of him and he's #48
  3. Going to be tough to watch every 5th day
  4. Is Miller lite replacing modelo as main macrobrew?
  5. Leury is going to be thr every day RF and start 140 games if he's healthy I'd hate to admit it but that's where I think it goes.
  6. Leury Garcia is going to be the every day RF. How was Conforto a pipedream, he's not even signed.
  7. Burger is taking at bats away from Leury Garcia.
  8. I think the White Sox budget is $190M and until Kimbrel is moved they are stuck where they are at. To me it's that simple.
  9. I think Brother Rice faced Ferris tonight Rice won in extras
  10. You give him the $200K because your offseason has been a disaster and this is just the icing on the cake of stupidity. I won't even get into the baseball results and the bargain basement price
  11. This will get him the Cy Young and out price him.
  12. That may be why Hahn was talking about Vaughn going to AAA to start the year, to give Micker a look.
  13. Sadly Garcia is a part of any every day lineup at this point especially being a switch hitter.
  14. He is going to play 140 games and get 500 at bats if healthy. Today's lineup leads is going to piss me off all year as Sheets/Vaugh are the "second" clean up men who can drive in the low OBP guys ahead of them who are never on base so when both have 18 RBI at the all-star break they will appear to be failing and the Sox will need to trade for a big DH bat but instead will add a RP.
  15. This whole thing could have been said 12 months ago and it went well and the post season was a failure, same as 2020. As they saw last year injuries happen that leave holes and they did nothing to address this. People understand that there is talent but have all seen that this talent is not enough and the organization ahs no depth.
  16. Leury's little adventure in Houston made me throw up in my mouth thinking about him out there.
  17. Run your platoon scenarios with a injury then do it with two or three. Is it unrealistic that they will need to get at least 150 at bats out of my egg basket?
  18. I'm not necessarily frustrated with the moves that have been made it is the fact that there are easy holes to fill and they are refusing to fill them. There is no DH platoon. Sheets is the DH and Vaughn is the RF. I fear they are putting a lot of eggs in the Rutherford, Mercedes, Colas and Cespedas basket. At this point Mercedes is the RH platoon in the DH role. Grandal getting time at DH puts Collins/Zavala in the lineup. Neither can catch or hit. Any injury to any player on this roster is a killer.
  19. The issue with me is the catchers cant catch his best pitch. Similar to Hendricks. That was not addressed either this offseason.
  20. Why even engage it's a waste of energy.
  21. I hate Garcia in RF. He's going to get 500 ABs this year.
  22. All anyone had to do was watch the playoffs last year and see what was needed. You platoon Sheets not Conforto.
  23. Is Sheets for Meadows a deal worth pondering?
  24. Engel is going to be the full time RF and Sheets/Vaughn a DH platoon. One injury to any player other than the tragically bad 2B combo and the White Sox are screwed.
  25. I really want to give them the benefit of the doubt but the more time that passes the realization is setting in that this is the team and all of the offseason decisions were bad. The organizational blind spot for giving bullpen guys a lot of money is a real thing and probably a result of the failed 2007 season.
