  1. Well leaves it up our DH, guarantees us a run doesn't it
  2. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 2, 2010 -> 11:55 PM) Well, throw a good splitter and hope Vlad goes back to his vintage 2005 ALCS self and hits into a 6-4-3 He couldn't walk then not so now
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 2, 2010 -> 11:50 PM) Pierre's begging for a weak pop up. never had a chance in that AB he is brutal in RBI situations
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 2, 2010 -> 11:47 PM) Honestly, I'd love to see Pierre bunt and make FF field his position. especially with the little hissy fit he was having....
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 2, 2010 -> 11:46 PM) Just don't hit into a DP with these weak swings. He tried to although he hit it hard and without holding the runner on it should be 4-3
  6. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 2, 2010 -> 11:43 PM) AJ isn't always the answer. Prolly woulda hit into a DP. Cmon Beckham! I was expecting Alexi to try and steal with the LHB to block the view and make it easier Casto is doing a nice job
  7. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jul 2, 2010 -> 11:37 PM) My biggest problem with Hawk now is he's too into his own schtick. He doesn't just announce the game enough, he almost think he has to be "Hawk" at all times. I agree with you but with the current forms of media on tv he does not need to inform the viewers of what they had to as recently as five years ago kotsay guaranteed another 200 AB's with that
  8. He is a hispanic Jermaine Dye maybe a half step faster
  9. he should be a DH as they are praising the Ranger baserunners that happens
  10. Hawk with the don't stop now...omar just stopped everything and Alex does get it going again
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 2, 2010 -> 11:18 PM) Soft liner over Andrus' head by 5 inches. I thought it was hit hard. This is where we are screwed though as Omar is not the type of player to extend the rally. The best thing he may do is make a productive out here which is not what is needed.
  12. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jul 2, 2010 -> 11:11 PM) Only the Sox could make an 11 game winning streak not 100 percent enjoyable. Because I think everyone is expecting them to go 4-9 after that and go into the break about 5 out and at .500 instead of actually playing good the rest of the way. The pitching was not going to keep it up in the AL. NL teams were using the PH as a DH which is what the Sox do nightly.
  13. No doubt about that one This team is back to be being lifeless.
  14. It took me three games to sour on this team until a week ago and now it is goingo to take four to get me back to that point again. This offense with the Dh is just as bad as the cubs. Also why isn't AJ playing?
  15. The Obama thing as big of a joke as it is in the recruiting of Lebron is interesting in that Obama is young and will be out of politics in 6 years max, loves basketball and will be making stops frequently in Chicago and will become a huge Bulls fan with Lebron. Just something to think about if you were Lebron.
  16. QUOTE (scenario @ Jul 1, 2010 -> 06:06 PM) "[sasser] teaches you to go into each at-bat with an approach, whether that means you're sitting on a fastball or looking for a curve or whatever," explained Greene, whose .557 slugging percentage tops the Carolina League. "You stick to it, and you don't shy away from your approach. That's what brings successful results."[/i] That is a Hawk Mantra. A bad plan is better than no plan at all.
