7/8 - The OC versus us.
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 02:19 PM) Can we do a double DFA with Jones and Kotsay? Guillen is talking chemistry again which means Kotsay and Jones are going nowhere.

The silver lining about Hudson/2nd half schedule...
I have been saying all season that the schdule has tough teams but no long tough stretches to it . Look at Min and Det. Det has a brutal stretch coming up. This seven game Tex / Cal looked to be the toughest and that is going fairly well.

NBA Offseason Thread
The Bulls oughta move Deng for Gilbert Areanas. As bad as the contract is the only hope is to try and make it work. The PR nightmare of getting him can be parlayed into a what were we suppossed to do. All he has to do is play de and shoot.

Peavy Done for Year; Marquez Up
Torres is rolling no need to bring him up to sit in the pen. I like this move and think Marquez could get the shot against the Royals if available

7/7 - LA vs. Sox
QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 11:38 AM) he is? I thought they were talking about last night's game. I asked the question??? Feeding off of last night's thread again....I have no clue.

7/7 - LA vs. Sox
Quentin is scratched again?
-
7/6 - Los Angeles vs. Chicago
Jenks looked pretty good. He is throwing the curve no matter what as he needs that pitch. Sox are 3-0 in games that start after a 2 plus rain delay to start the game.

7/6 - Los Angeles vs. Chicago
Has Lillibridge ever played second before. He is bad on the turn.
-
7/6 - Los Angeles vs. Chicago
Geez he wasn't off for that long to forget how to pitch all together.

7/6 - Los Angeles vs. Chicago
QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 11:27 PM) HUH? I think he feels that Kotsay and Jones are good for the team and getting a piece like Rios last year while good on paper could set the team back instead. Not that I agree but he say look Kotsay got on base in the 9th tonight.

7/6 - Los Angeles vs. Chicago
QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 11:25 PM) Ozzie is really gonna throw Bobby tonight in the 9th? REALLY? With a three run cushion no reason not to he is going to have to get in there eventually.

7/6 - Los Angeles vs. Chicago
I think Guillen is getting a feel for the team that he likes and is why the where will he play talk will come from.

7/6 - Los Angeles vs. Chicago
Hunter scares the crap out of me in that park.

7/6 - Los Angeles vs. Chicago
I was spending family time log into Soxtalk and see Peavy went from being out a year to maybe just a month. Then I assume the game is out of reach. Pena bailed us out again. Silver lining is Huddy gets some good work to see if he is worth his weight.

7/6 - Los Angeles vs. Chicago
I just looked at the lineup...why isn't Quentin playing?

7/6 - Los Angeles vs. Chicago
QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 02:34 PM) In all fairness... the guy probably would have some decent numbers if he had gotten more playing time and more at bats. If he were the everyday starter, his line would probably look a lot different. Maybe he'd be better served by getting DFAd and latching on to a team not in the race that can afford to give him more playing time... like the Orioles or the Pirates or Indians. He was getting a good amount of playing time and then he forgot how to hit. I do not think it is fair ot boo Jones. He is making $500,000. He should sit on the bench and play maybe once a week as a 4th or 5th outfielder. It is not his fault Guillen thinks everyone needs a couple of days off a week. The White Sox were off last Thursday.

July White Sox Catch-All Thread
QUOTE (PMD @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 01:15 AM) Well that was part of the reason I waited until she was about 10, and definitely the reason I haven't taken my 7 year old nephew to a game yet. I can go into the bathroom with my niece, but I would never let a stranger take my nephew into the bathroom. Either the guys in the bathroom would have to deal with a chick in their midst or the boy would just have to pee in his pants. I know with very young boys, it is acceptable to take them into the ladies' room with you if they need to go. But I think 7 is just too old for that, and I don't even want to think about what that might do to scar a little boy's psyche. And believe me, I was watching over my niece like a hawk. For future reference there are family bathrooms on all levels I believe that you could use. There is usually no waiting.

NBA Offseason Thread
Dan Bernstein had a great point that LeBron better already have done his research to determine what situation was the best for him and all of this stuff is BS. What are all of these meetings going to tell him that he should have already known. Imagine him witha a Scott Boras.

Cliff Lee to Twins?
How does Texas or Cincinnati not mortgage everything they have for Cliff Lee? neither has been even close and now they both have legitimate shots. Sox need to get into the talks and try to make a three way deal if necessary.
-
Adam Dunn Trade rumor thread
Would you trade Beckham, Torres and Flowers for Fielder and Weeks? If Gallardo is out for a while the Brewers need to sell parts.
-
AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!
Watched the first 7 went to see fireworks came home 5-3 victory, Happy Birthday America. That was a very good series win. The Twins lost 3 of 4 at home to the Rays...... Gotta grab a bat
-
7/4 - America vs. Texas
Pitching did its job in this series and the bats are as quiet as ever.
-
7/4 - America vs. Texas
AJ and Pierre are terrible with RISP Sad that the pitching is keeping the Rangers in check and the offense is this abysmal.
-
7/4 - America vs. Texas
He can play every OF position and 2B, SS and 3B. They really should have more than one run. That AJ AB was a killer and Rios was not much better. Feldman has nothing.

7/4 - America vs. Texas
QUOTE (jphat007 @ Jul 4, 2010 -> 07:33 PM) Safe to say that it's time for AJ to move on to another organization. He's pretty worthless at the plate at this point. That AB was brutal although he worked the count which is good I guess.
