  5. Trump to nominate Georgia rep tom price for hhs. Price has been a strong Obamacare critic and has advocated for deregulation, tort reform (ie limiting doctor liability) and health savings accounts as the fix to our broken health care system. https://www.google.com/amp/www.cnbc.com/amp...android-verizon Any republican plan will almost definitely gut the medicaid expansion, throwing millions back into the ranks of the uninsured.
  6. QUOTE (bmags @ Nov 28, 2016 -> 03:39 PM) Yeah, just like, how many physical pictures do you own that you just carry around with you? He must be a very good brother. He showed that to William while William was tied up. He probably searched William for weapons and found it on him.

  15. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Nov 23, 2016 -> 01:11 PM) Trump nominates two prominent GOP women: DeVos as education secretary, Haley as U.N. ambassador. Betsy DeVos is a nightmare. Every pick Trump makes is worse than the one before it. H.L. Mencken comes to mind lately
  16. QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Nov 23, 2016 -> 10:16 AM) I agree, it's a problem. But the media could collectively decide to cover the newsworthy components of what he does/says, not the bulls*** unimportant stuff. The problem is there's no money to be made from doing that. Re: the bolded, I don't think there's a lot, I think the media chooses to cover every small thing he does so it seems like a lot. When the top story of the day is Trump meeting with the New York Times and what happened during that meeting, including what he ate for lunch and when he took a piss, you know the media doesn't care about news, they care about the views they're going to get from the pissed of liberals and the excited conservatives. The NYT meeting was a long policy discussion though. That one doesn't really fit in the mold of bulls*** coverage.
  17. QUOTE (chw42 @ Nov 22, 2016 -> 05:29 PM) Tilq Tequila is just...WTF. Is she doin' this crap just for attention? She's doing all this crap with white nationalists and she's not even white! I'm pretty sure she has legitimate brain damage iirc

  21. Sessions looks like a lock for confirmation Senate Democrats have no leverage to stop him unless Republicans defect. Sessions: Case of Central Park 5, later exonerated, shows Trump's dedication to 'law and order' But hey, don't call the man who kicked off his campaign with racism, doubled down on racism for 16 more months, and immediately started appointing the worst possible people to important positions after he won the election racist! That would be mean!

  23. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 22, 2016 -> 09:35 AM) Who the F*** do you think they already interviewed for that position? Jerry Falwell Jr. I'm disappointed in you, usually you don't speculate on things that you could easily link. Anyway, yeah a person who teaches geology in Texas would have nothing to fear from this. Also met with Michelle Rhea who was the champion of the scam charter school movement until she failed repeatedly. http://www.latimes.com/nation/politics/tra...-htmlstory.html
  24. Puerto Rico is fantastic. I've been there twice including once for our wedding/honeymoon. The first time, we stayed here on the west side of the island. It was a little bit of a drive from San Juan, but there was plenty to do in the area(s) around there. Our wedding was at the Marriott in San Juan. I'd definitely check out Old San Juan and the old Spanish fort if you go. Our honeymoon was on Vieques at this hotel. You've got to take a little puddle jumper from San Juan to get here, but it's very secluded and minimally developed island with gorgeous, pristine beaches. One thing to keep in mind with any Caribbean or Central American travel right now though is Zika if you're thinking about having children.
