QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Sep 25, 2014 -> 09:02 AM) http://deadspin.com/stevie-johnson-drafted...team-1638997432 This is why Stevie Johnson remains one of my favorite players in the NFL. awesome -
His first move was to start putting the gun on the ground. It wasn't a reported active shooter, either. The 911 caller said he was pointing the gun around and loading it, but didn't say that he had fired any shots.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 24, 2014 -> 04:41 PM) Regardless of people's religious views, it bothers the hell out of me that people continue to want their faith (whatever faith that may be) to have a say in the political process. Your personal beliefs have zero place being put upon other people via the government. Go tell it on the mountain all you want, go vote with your faith and consience on issues, tell your friends, associate with or create groups or organizations to your heart's content. But the minute you expect that your religious beliefs should effect other people's lives via law, you have lost track of the beauty of the Constitution. How do we define "personal beliefs?" I'm not religious, but I certainly want some of my personal beliefs put upon other people via the government. Taking the obvious, I believe that murder, rape and slavery are wrong and immoral and that we should use the legitimate force of government to enforce those beliefs. I believe that others should be free to exercise their faith, and I want the force of government to enforce that. I believe that people with detestable points of views should still be allowed to voice those views without fear of physical retaliation. I believe that wilderness areas and national parks are vital, and I want those areas set aside by the government. I arrive at those points of view without religion, but some people use the path of religion to arrive at similar points of view or even opposing-but-still-legitimate points of view. Slavery is a good example: many in the abolitionist movement were deeply religious people, and their faith guided them to opposition of slavery. I know what you're getting at, that people shouldn't be trying to use their religion to oppress others or to install a theocratic government, but it can be useful to step back and examine how we classify something as a religious belief that's not kosher for the government to impose versus personal beliefs, religious or not, that are.

Ugh the nfl and their sycophants are just covering themselves in glory. -
I can't imagine it actually being effective these days. It's so over-the-top that it seems like a parody. Related, Pat Quinn's grass-mowing commercial is pretty dumb.

It remains a huge mystery as to why minorities are largely repelled from the Republican party.

The spigen for the HTC one just looks like my otter box case.

This is why dasox must access the commish's account and destroy the league for its own good. -

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 24, 2014 -> 02:16 PM) What if he'd just told some random owner and the same thing happened? I mean, s***ty commish, but nothing went wrong. It's not like he knew of the deal because he's the commish, he knew of the deal because his roommate is a silly, trusting bastard. This is akin to when the Tigers stole Miggy from Kenny Williams. He said he specifically told him so that he, as commish, could get the trade pushed through. -
The case of the young black man being gunned down in a Walmart for having a bb gun that he picked up off the shelf was posted previously in this thread. The grand jury just came back with no indictments. http://gawker.com/no-indictments-against-o...hoot-1638642197 Ohio happens to be an open carry state.

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Sep 24, 2014 -> 11:19 AM) It's still wrong, because he's the only person in the league that had the opportunity to play the "hey don't do that trade I'll offer you more" card. Whether or not you hit "accept" doesn't make a difference to me because the other guy proposed it, so it was officially out there, and you had already went over it. His actions caused the other guy to cancel it, and the only reason he could was because he was the commissioner. That's not right. Right, it's not just you who got screwed over but the entire rest of the league. -
QUOTE (iamshack @ Sep 24, 2014 -> 11:04 AM) Oh...well they can do that...I have DirecTV and Cox Internet...they'll figure it out, trust me... worst case scenario they have to run a new coax line. you can pretty much always run new lines.
-
QUOTE (iamshack @ Sep 24, 2014 -> 10:51 AM) What if you just had DirecTV and TWC internet? That is more expensive than having two television services? I think that's what he is going with, but he still needs to get the DTV signal and the TWC internet signal into his house via coax somehow.
-
QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Sep 24, 2014 -> 09:23 AM) Yup. I wouldn't be surprised at all if his PR team came up with the idea, he still wrote the check, he's still doing the good deed. yup

He's your roommate, right? So he probably leaves his yahoo account auto-logged in. Wait until he's gone and then cut his whole team. -
It is technically possible to run different signals on the same coax, but it really depends on what the frequency range of each is. Usually when you want to do this, you use a specific piece of equipment (multiplexer) that will transmit multiple signals down a line. Jason lays out the best scenario IMO. You only need a TWC coax drop to one room. Any decent technician should have a tone tester that will allow them to identify which cables go where. If you're not actually using all four of the coax lines from the splitter, you could just disconnect the line you're not using and connect that directly to the TWC incoming line.

The other one tying him to Blago is corny but the "Quinn let this man out of jail so he could rape your daughter" ad wasn't something I expected in Illinois in 2014.
-
ahahaha greg, whites are still the majority. In the coming decades, non-Hispanic whites will become the plurality--they'll still be the largest group, but they won't be 50%+ of the population. This is mainly due to increasing numbers of Hispanics, not blacks. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_...e_and_ethnicity

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Sep 23, 2014 -> 10:10 AM) I got lucky in my matchup this week...I have Marshawn's bye week but the team I'm playing has Peyton on a bye week so that worked out nicely. Similar for me. Lynch is on bye, but he's got both Demaryius and Julius Thomas. -

QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Sep 23, 2014 -> 09:23 AM) The jets were stopped on 4th down last evening but he HL decided to change where he spotted the ball. He comes in inside the yard to gain than runs around the player and ends up on the other side of teh 30. That call was garbage. I don't see how. Jeffery grabbed the DB's arm and pulled him around.
