The arguments to cut Social Security are nonsense and you can tell with how it's always conflated with Medicare. Also the fiscal cliff is more of a gradual slope. There is time to work out solutions even after the date the sequestration kicks in, the Bush tax cuts expire and the temporary payroll tax cuts go away.
