  1. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 28, 2012 -> 10:53 AM) Yikes. Nice body. But she looks like she's 45. Hah! You'd s*** your pants if she came up to you in a bar and spoke to you.
  2. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 28, 2012 -> 04:50 PM) iPod touchs are horrible at taking beatings. Mine is scratched to hell (especially the back). When I got my iPod touch, I didn't use it just as music player. Music players these days (outside of the classic iPod and iPod Mini) are meant to do a lot more. They're basically smartphones without the phone functionality. Ahh, well that's fair. I've got a classic, probably because I already have an iPhone. The iTouch was created for people who didn't want to switch over to AT&T.
  3. QUOTE (farmteam @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 11:46 PM) Reuters: Pop Music Too Loud and All Sounds the Same Certain chords and harmonies have been proven to trigger positive reactions in the human brain, which leads to better moods, happiness, etc. This is probably a large part of why so much of pop music sounds similar.
  4. I have absolutely no idea what I could bench...I haven't tried in like 20 years... I really think most people would benefit more from the exercises that build core strength, balance, stability, agility, etc. Unless you are lifting heavy stuff out in the field or something, it just seems like you're asking for an injury to happen (as Jake alluded to). Reddy, for all the Beachbody enthusiasm you have, have you taken a look at P90X2 yet?
  5. For a music player? I don't really care as much about the screen size. The majority of the time it'll be plugged into a speaker or in my pocket or strapped to my arm. It needs to have menus that allow me to navigate through hundreds or artists or albums quickly, and it needs to be able to take a beating. This isn't a phone.
  6. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 28, 2012 -> 11:49 AM) (My thanks to Wite for the contribution.) What a horribly written article...'Nathan Karns and his BIG, HARD sinker...' I kid, Wite...great job!
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 28, 2012 -> 03:25 PM) Hopefully they are just being careful with Alexei and ADA Considering Alexei jacked a home run last night after the collision, it's probably just swelling. As for ADA, I dunno. Robin probably figures our odds of winning this one aren't particularly great to begin with, so may as well give them a day off.
  8. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 28, 2012 -> 09:59 AM) I think it might be time to move on from Zunes my friend. Sony's released a few Android-powered Walkmans with Tegra 2 processors. You probably should have taken a look at those. Samsung also sells Galaxy players for nearly the same price you got your used Zune. Both are probably better and more modern alternatives. Or you could just admit that iPods are by far the best device on the market
  9. QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 01:27 PM) I'm good with a Blanton-type to take Humber's starts, and hope for Danks to come back for 7-8 starts. It may work out better than trading for Greinke, short term and long term. I'm just not sure I wouldn't rather just roll with Humber over a guy like Blanton or the like...Humber looked decent in his first start back, and I'm not convinced he can't show us something...I'd like to see one more start out of him before I give away a decent piece for an average arm at best.
  10. QUOTE (docsox24 @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 01:24 PM) I don't think KW will blink so the Brewers have to drop their price. It is pretty entertaining to read all the speculation on here. Looking like a back end rotation starter at best. I was waiting for you to make an appearance, oh wise one... I'm thinking we pick up DeWayne Wise to be our 5th starter...
  11. Ahh...we use something called Airwatch and something called Junos Pulse to log into our VPN. I'm one of the first people to get a corporate iPhone so our IT department seems to be a bit lost.
  12. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 10:19 AM) My company is testing and deploying it for all of our laptops so I can give a report when I get it. Hey Rock, what programs/apps do you guys use to implement iPhones and iPads into your company's email, calendars, intranet, etc? Or do you guys just use mostly Apple software to begin with?
  13. Yeah, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense for us. Felix is owed about $46 million through 2014, and the cost-controlled guys we could give them are needed by us right now. We don't have enough to get him without some of those guys, and Kenny isn't going to take a risk of trading too much of the current roster away.
  14. QUOTE (Marty34 @ Jul 26, 2012 -> 05:04 PM) Saw this on MLB tonight. 23 of the 49 runs Greinke has allowed this year have come in 5 innings. Also GB% OF 53.7% to go along with 8 k/9, perfect for the cell. But The Cell is "dark" and "different."
  15. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 26, 2012 -> 01:37 PM) He also seems to be the best available starter that no one is talking about. Yeah, he has really fallen off the radar since we kicked his ass Monday. Maybe that is a good thing...
  16. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 26, 2012 -> 01:25 PM) If I am Kenny, I'd give Minnesota a call about Liriano. It can't hurt. He's probably already spoken to them several times about Liriano...he makes it pretty clear that he calls about EVERYONE...
  17. QUOTE (The Ultimate Champion @ Jul 26, 2012 -> 10:32 AM) His start against the Yankees really won me over. The way he was able to recover from early damage and keep it close enough for the offense and get the win is exactly the type of thing you see from a veteran. With his terrific command, multiple pitches, ability to get the groundball DP when he needs it, the cutter in on the hands again and again and again... I'm convinced that anyone who isn't confident in this kid's future just isn't watching. He has the ability plus all the intangibles to go with it. He has a good move to first, can field his position, works quicks, throws strike 1 - this is the Columbian Mark Buehrle. I agree 100%
  18. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jul 25, 2012 -> 09:23 PM) Rios quietly having a career year. I don't think it's been quiet at all...I think he's been the MVP of the offense...he's been hitting like a machine for about 3 months now.
  19. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 26, 2012 -> 09:45 AM) My biggest concern with trading Q for Greinke is that there's a solid chance Q performs just as good as Greinke does the rest of the way. Q has already dominating some of the best lineups in baseball. Originally I thought I would be in favor of moving Q because he could be a flash in the pan...but the more and more I see of him, I am more impressed. I don't know that Greinke would be any better than Quintana, and I don't know that Greinke would be any more poised in a playoff situation than Quintana. What we do know, is we could control Quintana for about 150-200 more starts before he hits free agency, while we'd only control Greinke for about 10-12. I just can't give that up for a guy as that is as big of a wild card as Greinke is.
  20. So had a little workout accident this morning using the resistance bands anchored into the door. Was doing some quasi pull-ups when the door popped open and the anchor came flying back at me at about 200 mph. Caught me straight in the forehead! Cut me open and I'm a bit swollen in the forehead and around the nose, but I am just happy it didn't catch me in the eye, because I could have lost an eye, honestly. I did clean up and the blood and go back and finish the workout though (I was only on the 2nd of 24 exercises when it happened)!
  21. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 25, 2012 -> 08:18 AM) Quintana for Buehrle. Do it. Absolutely not.
  22. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Jul 25, 2012 -> 09:38 AM) Konerko after the game said that this is the best Dunn has ever hit. Dunn then said, I get paid to hit he ball out of the park not to hit singles. Ride on Big Donkey and Professor. He's basically been on pace for 50/120 all year long.
