Nicky BA up to .253. 78 wRC+. Was at 0.3 fWAR coming into the game. Keeps hitting like this and he’ll be a 1-2 WAR player at the end of the season. Not bad
There are plenty of things to rip on the Sox but this really isn’t one of them. They’re actually quite good at signing the mid rotation FA starting pitcher in recent years.

Their issue has always been primarily tied to the position player FA signings. That has been a huge struggle for a long time.
I bet Detroit fans were thinking similar things about the Tigers in 2003. Three years later they were in the World Series. I’m not saying that will happen with the Sox but things can change more quickly than you think.
