White Sox calling up Thorpe
Crochet is basically our Rodon from then. I see what you’re saying about the other guys but we’ll have another 4-5 names to follow after next month’s draft in the same vein as Fulmer, Hansen, etc.

White Sox calling up Thorpe
Before the season started I didn’t want to see any of these prospects in MLB until next season but at this point if it means not having to watch the Kellers and Woodfords of the world continue starting games for the Sox I’m all for it.

White Sox calling up Thorpe
Cease, Kopech, Giolito, Dunning, and López were certainly very exciting but it always felt very top heavy without much depth behind them. By and large, that group panned out very well but there was absolutely nothing behind them. Now I even see interesting arms like Carela and Batista at the bottom of the T30 or guys like Gowens that are intriguing that don’t even crack the T30. I guess we’ll see but it feels like there’s more depth already and they’ll be adding again in a big way to that depth next month.

White Sox calling up Thorpe
With or without Cristian Mena, I’m very excited about the future of this pitching staff. Haven’t seen this type of pitching depth in the minors in a long time. Hopefully Thorpe is a mainstay in the rotation for the next 10 years. Also, can’t wait to see what young pitchers the Sox bring in next month during the draft and TDL trades.

I would have given Fedde the whole inning

Julks has been a fantastic addition. Once Pham returns, the lineup actually looks halfway decent.

Now that they’re back in the hunt, the Astros must be drooling at the thought of adding a guy like Fedde to their rotation. He’d have 10 wins already with that offense.

Give him 1 more

Correct. Big dick Danny is more effective than Blopech.

Probably need 8 from Fedde tonight to feel good about this one

Has Sosa finally turned the corner? He’s looked great since the latest recall.

It’s amazing that Fedde and Crochet have a combined record of 10-6 (11-6 if they hold on to this lead) for a team on pace to lose 120 games.

Erick Fedde outdueling Logan Gilbert. And it’s no fluke either considering he has the lower ERA on the season..

And as we saw with Mikolas it’s never too late to earn that very nice payday

Oh it’s most certainly going up after this performance. This dude might be a 4 WAR pitcher this season. Remarkable career turnaround.

Fedde ERA down to 3.14. The Twins could really use him.

Max Stassi shut down for year
He’s basically performed at the same level as Bummer this season but he’s younger, cheaper, and under control for much longer. He seems fine as a lefty long reliever/spot starter.

Max Stassi shut down for year
Why just Gowens? Isn’t Shuster under control for another 5 years?
-
White Sox calling up Thorpe
I agree. He’s been outstanding this year and being that he’s 24 already I’d like to see him get MLB innings soon. My guess is we’ll see him late next month after the Sox trade Fedde and/or Crochet.

June 9th. 3rd game of Winning Streak. Chris Flexon, Come on Down. Your turn.
How was Boston a game over .500 coming into this series with this lineup and they pitch Brad Keller every other game?

Can the sox have the best farm system in baseball after the deadline
Fangraphs already has them at #12. After they trade the vets, including Crochet and Robert, they should add ~$150M in value. That’ll put them in the top 3 at worst and when combined with the high draft picks next month very likely the top system overall per their valuation this coming offseason. https://www.fangraphs.com/prospects/farm-system-rankings?sortcol=0&sortdir=asc
