  1. Crochet already up to 2.7 bWAR, 2.3 fWAR. Approaching Cease 2023 WAR levels and we’re only a week into June! With 2.5 seasons of super cheap control remaining, some might argue his trade value isn’t much less than Cease’s trade value last offseason. Really curious to see how his market shapes up as we near the trade deadline next month.
  2. Garrett Crochet has a winning record on a team projected to lose 120 games
  3. 5 innings, 9 strikeouts. He’s approaching 100 innings on the season and I was assured his arm would fall off by then if they didn’t shut him down. Appears arm is still intact.
  4. Interesting. Didn’t realize he was that high. Well, I guess Schultz is the first to crack the top 10 in two decades so there’s that.
  5. Was he really? I don’t recall that but I wasn’t following the minor leagues much during those years.
  6. https://x.com/NotCease/status/1798404083440861676
  7. Schultz has Skenes potential if he can overcome the durability questions. His stuff is that good.
  8. After next month’s draft and Crochet/Robert trades, the Sox should have 8 players cracking this list in the offseason. Top 3 farm once all those trades are completed.
  9. You were wishing so hard it would stay fair. Fedde got screwed by horrific d and did a good job overcoming it to preserve the lead.
  10. Lol. The same way you just spoke about Sheets and López is the way you spoke about Fedde early in the season “just wait until he comes down to reality”. I’m still waiting..
  11. It’s not bad either. Better fWAR than Cubs legend Christopher Morel in fact.
  12. Agreed. Seems like a really good guy too. Easy to root for
  13. Fedde is just good even if @White Sox23 will never admit it
  14. That Fedde cutter is filthy
  15. Nicky BA up to .253. 78 wRC+. Was at 0.3 fWAR coming into the game. Keeps hitting like this and he’ll be a 1-2 WAR player at the end of the season. Not bad
  16. Damn. The Cubs really suck. Lucky to not get swept this series yikes
  17. There are plenty of things to rip on the Sox but this really isn’t one of them. They’re actually quite good at signing the mid rotation FA starting pitcher in recent years. 2024 - Fedde 2023 - Clevinger 2022 - Cueto Their issue has always been primarily tied to the position player FA signings. That has been a huge struggle for a long time.
  18. That’s the one area where the Sox are deep in the minor leagues - pitching.
  19. I bet Detroit fans were thinking similar things about the Tigers in 2003. Three years later they were in the World Series. I’m not saying that will happen with the Sox but things can change more quickly than you think.
  20. But I was told nobody wanted Crochet this season.. ?
  21. Yep and I said it at the time it was the only explanation (off field issues)
  22. Reliever? I hope not
  23. Garrett’s arm hasn’t fallen off yet?
