  1. Huh? How many titles have those 3 orgs won over the past two decades?
  2. If Lance Lynn doesn’t hurt his knee, his ERA is half what it is today.
  3. This is the most efficient game I’ve seen from Kopech all season. Great to see.
  4. For a guy that many thought would wear down due to lack of innings and workload, I’m sure not seeing it as we enter August. Kopech bringing the heat.
  5. The Giants won 3 titles in the 2010s. Can’t put them in the same category as the Padres who have won zero and only two pennants in franchise history.
  6. It’s amazing how active they are and yet still haven’t won anything lol
  7. I agree with you. I honestly don’t see the need for a SP. RP and OF are far bigger needs.
  8. I’d rather go Montas if they’re going that route (assuming he’s actually healthy). At least you get him for next season too. Of course, Castillo would have been the real gem but that ship has sailed.
  9. They really need Kopech in the rotation, though, now and in the playoffs. He’s their 3rd best starter after Cease and Cueto.
  10. So he’s basically Kyle Schwarber but younger, much cheaper, more flexible defensively, and cost controlled longer. People here should love him and I’m not opposed to the idea either.
  11. Meh. Similar ERA and WHIP for Cueto and Rodon this season. There’s been no discernible difference in their results this season to date for stats that matter, considering you don’t win baseball games based on who strikes out the most batters.
  12. Who needs Rodon when you have Cy Cueto instead
  13. In this scenario, who do you move to the bullpen? Do they make Lance Lynn the most expensive reliever in MLB?
  14. He’s been better than pretty good since moving to the bullpen. An ERA and WHIP of near 1 since the move. Lopez has also been excellent since moving to the bullpen.
  15. With health uncertainty of several Sox relievers, they really need to add a reliever maybe two. Givens and Mantiply would be great. I don’t think they need another SP personally. Martin can swing to a starting role if needed.
  16. Considering 100 is average, I’d say it’s been average. In spite of all the injuries, that’s not as bad as many let on. Now that they’re finally getting healthy (hopefully Robert returns next week), let’s see what they can do.
  17. The offense hasn’t been as good as expected BUT when you factor in all the injuries I’m surprised that the team has a collective 99 wRC+. This is with major contributors from last season’s team missing significant time - Moncada, Grandal, Robert, Eloy (Eloy didn’t contribute much last season but did the year before). The biggest issue with this team, something that NO ONE predicted, has been the decline of Lynn and Giolito - the consensus top two starters heading into this season. A combined 8.3 fWAR last season compared to 1.0 fWAR so far this season. If those two get back on track, this team coasts to a division title.
  18. Sheets has no place on this roster if he isn’t going to hit. I’m not arguing that but the Sox don’t need another DH. Vaughn/Eloy already have that covered. Schwarber had one good month but has been pedestrian otherwise. Just find it funny that people constantly complain about the roster’s lack of flexibility and poor defensive outfield play. Yet, same people are advocating for Schwarber lol
  19. Yea, great fit. Another DH, like the Sox don’t have enough of those already.
