  1. Good organizations don’t block good young players with risky, expensive veterans. If Conforto was such a slam dunk, he’d be signed by now.
  2. Kelly TBD, Kimbrel I agree but you said every single reliever acquisition has been garbage which clearly is false
  3. Fans were still upset Blum was the only acquisition. Despite the record, no one at the time believed they were as good as their record. I remember it well.
  4. Tepera was great last year. Liam has been very good the last two years. Graveman has been good this year. Not following you here.
  5. Blum, Geoff. 2005 lone TDL acquisition. Most Sox fans were pissed about that too.
  6. Never forget, Geoff Blum was the only trade deadline acquisition for the 2005 White Sox. Just sayin
  7. Not just that but still the favorite to win the division per fangraphs. Sox have the easiest schedule in August and September.
  8. As he should. It’s not unreasonable to think he could get the callup next month. Most didn’t think he’d be up by Memorial Day 2023 but the man is destroying AA pitching and is going to get a taste of MLB very soon.
  9. By the way, I can’t believe Conforto hasn’t been signed yet! Boras assured us he was fielding all kinds of calls with interest and the man is ready to produce late this season still. I’ll take my chances with Sheets for the rest of this season instead but would like to see him out of the outfield please or at least used very sparingly out there.
  10. Since a disastrous May that led to another IL stint, Kelly has a 4.3 ERA, 1.4 WHIP, 12 K/9 and seems to be trending in the right direction. Could be a very valuable piece these last two months.
  11. Isn’t 2 WAR considered an “average” starter? He’s basically that. Certainly not the problem with this team that Giolito, Lynn, and Grandal have been.
  12. Regardless, 1 fWAR thru 74 games is pretty damn solid for a cheap signing like him
  13. That was on this site and, yes, I agree! Why even bother with the first couple rounds of the playoffs? Just put NYY, HOU, LAD, and NYM in the LCS!
  14. I was told only the Dodgers, Yankees, and Astros have a chance. You’d think they’d have all the rings over the past two decades instead of a combined 3 total.
  15. Exactly like the Sox? Did you miss the part about ZERO World Series titles for the Padres? Absolutely nothing to envy about the Padres franchise and their history (or lack thereof).
  16. Nah. The padres haven’t won anything in their franchise history. Zero World Series trophies and two pennants in 53 years of existence.
