  1. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Feb 27, 2017 -> 10:10 AM) I think they would actually be smart to let him walk. He's a good player, but not great and he's had a history of injuries. Throw in the suspension and it should be easy choice to let him walk. No not really. He had a season where he was injured but for the most part he has been out there pretty consistently. They arent trying to cut costs to afford other players. If they tagged him it would have no effect on their ability to sign any other players nor would it compromise their future ability to sign players. He may have a down year because you never know in football but there would be no risk in bringing him back another year or tagging him with a possibility of a trade for a mid rounder. Hell even for a late round pick is better than nothing.
  2. QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Feb 27, 2017 -> 10:06 AM) with the teams who have the value to get Q, this is obviously a narrow possibility, but if a contender has an injury in ST to a top of the rotation arm. How often does this happen? I am curious because this has been mentioned a lot but I am not sure if this happens every year and how frequently. I know the Cardinals are always good for it but I am not sure if its a forgone conclusion to happen frequently enough that we can count on this being a situation in the next month. I am really curious.
  3. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Feb 26, 2017 -> 05:14 PM) It's is pretty cool, and each pod has heaters so it's open all winter in Chicago. I didnt know this, I have been saying for the longest time that I am going to check this place out and never have.
  4. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Feb 27, 2017 -> 09:06 AM) That's my problem. Even if it is a huge overpay, what the hell else are you spending money on? Might as well keep Alshon since you have so much cap space anyway. This to the tenth degree. Letting him walk right now makes zero damn sense. It feels like this is Fox's doing which makes this even more frustrating but who the hell knows.
  5. So the Bears let Alshon walk for nothing. If you knew you would do that why the hell did you not trade him last year? They must think Cam Meredith is going to be great and that White is going to be healthy and good. I dont believe in either of the two to be honest.
  6. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 24, 2017 -> 10:24 AM) I no longer get the feeling that Paxson is the smart one sitting back and letting everyone else hang themselves. After the past two seasons where he continues to blame Thibs, he is absolutely complicit in this operation Yeah this has been really off putting. How he had to throw in the blame of Thibs for getting McDermott in yesterdays presser had me shaking my head. Like Pax? You know that makes you look worse right?
  7. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 23, 2017 -> 02:23 PM) Nope. All minor, cap saving deals. The big deals were ibaka to the raps and of course the cousins deal. This is the NBA every year for the most part. Deadline is always a bunch of talk just to wind up with nothing. Them f***ing liars.
  8. Royce YoungVerified account‏@royceyoung 15m15 minutes ago More The Thunder believe Payne is going to be a big time player, but playing behind Westbrook, wouldn't develop into the player he's capable of. Whatever.
  9. Joe OstrowskiVerified account‏@JoeO670 3s4 seconds ago More Woj says Bulls and Celtics weren’t close. Bulls wanted to get pieces of C’s core and not draft picks. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA the Bulls show me by the minute that they are dumber than I thought.
  10. Cowley just said on radio that Mirotic was just called into the office. Dont think that means anything but who knows.
  11. Nick FriedellVerified account‏@NickFriedell 7m7 minutes ago More Bulls have closed blinds so that media can't see into coaches' offices. Strange day at Advocate Center. Lots of sadness surrounding Taj exit
  12. K.C. JohnsonVerified account‏@KCJHoop 3s4 seconds ago More Confirming others: Bulls trade McDermott, Gibson and possible '18 2nd round pick to Thunder for Lauvergne, Payne and Morrow.
  13. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Feb 23, 2017 -> 01:49 PM) These reports can't be 100% accurate. They seem to be all over the place.
  14. Adrian WojnarowskiVerified account‏@WojVerticalNBA 27s27 seconds ago More Indiana has passed on trade offers for Paul George and All-Star forward will remain with the Pacers, league sources tell @TheVertical.
  15. Shams CharaniaVerified account‏@ShamsCharania 1m1 minute ago More OKC sending Joffrey Lauvergne and Anthony Morrow, w/ CHI sending '18 second-round pick with McDermott and Gibson, sources tell @TheVertical.
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ Feb 23, 2017 -> 01:23 PM) Clearly trying to field the worst possible shooting team for an "offensive" coach It is absolutely mind boggling that they continue to do the opposite of what they should be doing.
  17. When you have a GM that you KNOW will never get another GM job and a coach you KNOW will never get another NBA job its pretty discouraging no matter what the hell they do in the next hour. Although at least Gar could redeem himself a bit by making some shrewd moves that no one expected. But of course he wont.
  18. The Bulls are going to do nothing arent they? LOL Man it sucks to care about a terribly managed team.
  19. Adrian WojnarowskiVerified account‏@WojVerticalNBA 20s21 seconds ago More Sources: Less than two hours until the NBA Trade Deadline, but no significant traction for Boston on Jimmy Butler or Paul George deals. Yet. Its not happening.
  20. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 23, 2017 -> 11:48 AM) Dude, are you reading what I'm typing? I didn't say George was better. I can get with Butler being better, at least this year. But you're acting like the difference between the two is like the difference between KD and Melo. Are you reading what you're typing? "But nobody outside of a Bulls fan has Butler >>> George" -J4L
  21. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Feb 23, 2017 -> 11:26 AM) Bulls aren't gonna do s***. It'll be the same press conference year in and year out. Most likely. Sometimes its fun to imagine winning the lottery.
  22. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Feb 23, 2017 -> 11:23 AM) Who would Boston prefer to acquire if they had their choice of Butler or George? I don't really know who'd fit their team better. They have been long rumored to like Butler so it makes me believe this George stuff came out to gain some leverage in Bulls talks. Ainge and Bird are buddies and Bird always said that George was off the table until now.
  23. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Feb 23, 2017 -> 11:17 AM) Sounds like Boston is all in for Butler or George. Picks and assets available. It's now on the Bulls But they seem to be putting out there that they will only give up the BRO pick for George. If thats the case they are not in for Butler.
  24. The new hood ornament looks pretty sweet. Thanks Kal. Jerk.
  25. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 22, 2017 -> 12:28 PM) I will be surprised if Dan Pompeii comes on another show with Parkins again Dan Pompei is considered one of the nicest guys in the industry so I think he might.
