QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 24, 2008 -> 10:40 PM) Um, by George Soros, do you mean, um, Bill Moyers? George Soros is an international financier and Billionaire, and I can't find anything about him and Jeremiah Wright online. Bill Moyers, however, is a member of the media and has in fact interviewed Wright in the last few days. I always confuse the two for some reason... even so, Moyers is a far left dummy too, IMO. In fact, anyone at those take back america conferences, I consider a goofball. However, Moyers is no where as bad as Soros.

I don't know where else to put this, so I'll put it here... I love how Jeremiah Wright gets interviewed by the king of the far left, radical nutjobs in George Soros.

QUOTE (DBAH0 @ Apr 24, 2008 -> 09:34 AM) She's not Bill. No seriously, I would much prefer the democrats to win the next election, after what has happened with Bush, and I just get worried that McCain could sort of be Bush v2.0. If that means Clinton beats Obama, and then wins the election, so be it I guess. the only similarity between McCain and Bush is that McCain thinks we should stay in Iraq... Pretty much, McCain is a democrat, in my eyes.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 06:11 PM) that was one case... -
I was wondering when this would be updated... thanks a ton, this is great.

It was kind of unfair though, considering that AJ knew he was going to have a runner stealing on him... But Cowley woulda been toast either way. You can tell how out of shape Cowley is by how he was gassed from running 90 feet a couple of times.

wow, you and me agree on something... what has this world come to?

In spanish class, there is nothing wrong with it... but if it is at some random event that turns out to be in a Hispanic neighborhood, and they say the pledge in Spanish, then I have a problem with it. I am one of the people who believe English should be the official language.

QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 09:20 PM) 89 mph fastball and a TERRIBLE Bulls hitting team. Joel Guzman is quite the bust. depends, was the 89 mph a straight one or one with movement? Plus, Broadway has some good secondary stuff.

QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 09:54 PM) isnt it pretty much one big injury in his past and now he's over it? back problems are something that generally sticks with a person for most of their life.

White Sox vs. Yankees, 4/23, 7:11, ESPN

I usually don't agree with greg on much, but these past two games have been eerily similar to 90 of the games last year. -
Broadway's cup of coffee last year seems to disagree with fathom's source. On the brightside however, I think you can watch archived games of milb.tv for free. So, I think we can watch tonights Knights game for free tomorrow.

I think it's simple fact, the White Sox can't hit crafty pitchers. -
I thought Bourgeois was a switch hitter... did he decide to stick to righty, or have I been way off on him for a while?

When the weather heats up and it starts to get nice out, more idiots and low-lives come out. If you think it's bad now, it will probably be even worse when it gets really nice out. -

on the post game show, someone brought up a good point, and something that I have been thinking about. We need a lefty bat on the bench. -
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Apr 21, 2008 -> 07:38 PM) As a friendly wager, I bet Contreras has an ERA below Garland's this season. how about a sig bet? or better yet, an avy bet?

Last week Contreras was actually throwing with a little velocity... so, was it a bomb or fence scrapper? -

QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 22, 2008 -> 06:16 PM) How is a 2 hopper right at someone considered a hit? I feel bad for Contreras' ERA. I didn't see it, but gameday ruled it a hit. Perhaps the scoring gets changed. -

QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Apr 22, 2008 -> 06:13 PM) Of course the error comes around to score....thanks for that PK. Better make up for that with the bat big guy. it was scored a hit... just saying. -
I still think our best option is to trade Crede at the deadline when his value is highest. The odds of him resigning with us are at about 10%, IMO, if not lower. The only way I wouldn't trade him is if Thome, Konerko, and Fields are still batting sub-.200 come July (or in Fields case, K'ing every other AB), and we are in the heat of playoff race. Plus, I still think Fields is the third baseman of the future for us.

I know he had a very good outing last week, but I still cringe everytime Contreras takes the bump. -
Contreras somehow having an ERA under 5 and us being able to unload him next offseason for something worth while would be a dream come true... however, I doubt Contreras keeps up his 4.3 ERA as he really doesn't have much left in the tank, if anything.

I think it's stupid that Ramirez is not down at Charlotte playing SS everyday. He has the speed and range to cover a lot of ground, and his arm is better than Uribe's (but not nearly as quick with the release like Juan is). He needs to work on his glovework though, and he can't do that by switching between positions every other day. Plus, he needs AB's everyday to get a feel for the slow stuff. Hell, if the org. really thinks he can excel more so in CF than he can at SS, then he should be playing CF everyday for Charlotte. He needs to get some consistent playing time at one position for him to develop, IMO.
