Liefer is a beast.

QUOTE(zimne piwo @ Feb 29, 2008 -> 07:32 PM) Exactly... ever since the situation with that blonde airhead last year (Kyla something or other), now every goofball out there is looking to see how far they can push the envelope with the airlines. Bottom line... everyone wants something for nothing. Did you hear what they are saying now? They are saying they never said they got kicked off for being "too hot" and they admit to being out of line, but they still say they were unfairly treated. Plus, if you saw the interview, it makes you wonder what college would except them.

I was watching a video for MLB 2k8 on gamespot, and it does not look good at all. Doesn't seem fluid one bit.
-
dammit... Some gamecrazy's around the U.S. have been selling the Show today, but none here in Chicago.
-
Howie's got some talented kids with Kyle and Chris.

Road to the Show (RTTS) is very fun. I played it for numerous hours last year. The only problem I have is that the minor leagues are very bare and when your in the minors you only face 3-4 different teams in only 3-4 different stadiums. Hopefully by next year they can add 90 minor league teams and more stadiums (like 2K did this year and MVP before them). But none-the-less, it is very fun.

I'm still holding out hope that Justin Smoak will be there at no. 8... but I doubt it.

thanks for the info... I couldn't make out what the hats said through mlb.tv...
-
just wear it and break it in naturally.
-
what's with the hats today? (sorry if already been asked)
-
dork snort ties it up...

those 2 are goof-ball lairs. I guarantee that they were obnoxious b****es causing disturbances on the plane, and that this being too pretty crap is just to try and make the airline look like the bad guys.

QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Feb 25, 2008 -> 11:26 PM) Deal got rejected. Not happening. It looks like 2k will wait until after the release of GTA IV to sell.

QUOTE(ChiSox_Sonix @ Feb 26, 2008 -> 08:23 AM) MVP 05 for PS2 is still the best baseball game ever made without a question. Anyways, PS3 owners, whatchya gonna get? 2K8 or The Show? I think im gonna go with The Show I'd like to wait for the 2k demo, but it doesn't even look like that will ever come out. I'm probably gonna get the show.

EA is planning to buy out 2k sports... oh man, a return of MVP Baseball would be heavenly.
-
yeah, cause the weather is so predictable 2 months in advance... it can be pleasent or horrible as f*** outside. These players should deal with it anyway, as they get paid MILLIONS to play a sport. If they can't handle the weather then boo-freaking-hoo.

You know salaries have gotten out of hand when people like Colon are gonna make 5 million to either suck and/or spend the majority of the year on the DL.

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Feb 19, 2008 -> 09:21 PM) That would be a miserable deal. Yippee -- let's trade arguably our brightest young pitcher for a non-elite 30-year old second-baseman just to fill the imaginary hole of not having a "leadoff man". Lets be realistic here, that award goes to Kyle McCulloch

QUOTE(knightni @ Feb 19, 2008 -> 09:13 PM) If they get rid of Masset for Fatolo, KW has had an offseason to be fired over. 1. Waste money on Uribe 2. Move Garland, a solid #3 SP who is 27 for a 35 y/o SS 3. Drain your already weak minors on a guy who averages .260 with many Ks 4. Then Masset/Floyd gone for Colon. Ridiculous. Couldn't have said it better myself.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Feb 19, 2008 -> 09:03 PM) If it does wind up being true, I'd just like to say that I hate this deal. I concur...

well, Wii's gonna have some competition soon. Appareantly Sony is going to turn the ps2 into a similar machine like the Wii and have a similar controller.

or how about he goes lights out and becomes the best relief pitcher ever.

QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Feb 16, 2008 -> 11:25 PM) 77-85. I'm one of the biggest PECOTA, BP haters here, but they hit the nail right on the head last year, so they get the benefit of the doubt... And to be honest, that's where I see us to. We improved a bit, but not a whole lot.

Who is your favorite player currently on the Sox's MLB level team?
BearSox replied to Marky Mark's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Konerko's been my favorite "Sock" since '99... god, that seems so long ago. Javy is by far my favorite pitcher. -
QUOTE(GreatScott82 @ Feb 16, 2008 -> 12:01 PM) Uribe still has a shot at being the starting 2b. If i were him i would focus on that. I think the three battles this spring training will be fun to watch. 1) Uribe vs Richar- The battle for the 9th place hitter in the lineup should be interesting. Im guessing whoever can bunt better and get on base more will win this battle. Because defensively im sure Uribe has more range than RIchar but it should be close. 2) Floyd-Danks vs Massett, Haegar, Broadway, and Egbert.- I think Floyd and Danks have the upper edge given the experience but almost every spring training there is that one suprise player who makes the team. If we get that suprise player this spring it will most likely come from a starting pitcher. 3) Owens vs Quentin- Both will make the team for sure. But who will be the every day 3rd outfielder? Quentin has dominated the minor leagues, putting up monster #s in the OBP and BA. However, Jerry Owens has shown he can be an effective everyday leadoff hitter if given the oppurtunity. I think Quentin has the edge, but due to Ozzie's preference for that traditional speedy leadoff hitter I think this can go either way.. ** Fields vs Crede- KW said both will not be on the team together come opening day. This pretty much means the end for Crede as a White Sox. It should still be interesting to see how Crede does. What happens if he is too impressive to let go? Will that increase his trade value enough to get a solid starting pitcher? I think that is what we are all hoping for....... 2008 is finally here... im not sure what to expect at this point.... I seriously question Uribe, and his extra 25 lbs of weight, range. He's got the better arm no doubt, but Richar has a good arm in his own right, and I think better with his flips to second. Also, Uribe has played exclusively SS for how many years now? The transistion might be easier said then done. I'd be shocked if Richar did not out preform Uribe... but I won't be shocked if he doesn't get the starting job for obvious reasons.
