...and since then that kid May has only struck out 6 Twins in 2 1/3. They are cursing him on their espn board. lol

The Twins BP going extra today. WEAR OUT THOSE ARMS, GARDENHIRE!!! MUHAHAHAHAHA!!!
-
Took him a while, but he's finally on the bandwagon: http://boards.espn.go.com/cgi/mlb/request....author=42495485 280+ posts, all positive. Very disturbing to see a kid that angry actually make a positive post about ANY team.

The FUNNIEST sign you will ever see at a game was a game against the Stars with the Ducks up: "Bring the Cup back to Anaheim!" LMAO!

Actually, this is a smart move by JM if Garland goes tonight. Think about it: Garland gets to face a weaker hitting squad at home. If he gets lit up early and yanked, then he's in the BP for his next scheduled start and we try Glover. Colon pitched 8 innings on Saturday night, and I believe his pitch count was pretty high. Another night of rest would do him good. Then we got our top 3 against the Twins in Minnesota. I'd do it. What have we got to lose? No, SS....what message?

Well there's that, Lilo and Stitch, Shrek and the Grinch. She's already tired of Barney and all that crap.

Good movie, that Monster's Inc. Have to watch it about 3 times a weekend because the baby loves it.
-
Frank, what days you gonna be in Vegas next month? With my, uh, roomate staying for a while I was thinking about heading up there with some peeps from work. Are you staying on a weekend or during the week?
-
Umm....no last time out Loaiza beat him for our only W in Camden.
-
Twins lose and we're 2 back of them after Colon gets us a sweep tonight. Then we go into the Dome and smoke them fools.
-
Dunn goes deep again. 1-0 Cincy. About to sweep the Cards in St. Louis after taking 4 straight from them last week in Cincy. What's in the water in Cincy these days? Beltran homered, 2-0 Royals.

Yes, yes, YES! My Ducks RULE! Those that don't know already, I have 1 Chicago and 1 Cali team from each sport I'm a fan of (minus the Cubs of course....I left them to my brother). My Cali teams are Padres, Chargers, Kings and Ducks. Who knew that the LA area might be the home to 3 world champs out of 4 sports? And the Raiders got to the Super Bowl, formerly from LA. Yeah JSG is smokin. He was the only strongpoint I had in my fantasy hockey leagues, although he didn't even do THAT well in the regular season.

3 HRs and 8 RBIs against Ponson in his career, vs. Konerko 1 HR and 4 RBI. Though Koney is batting .333 vs. Daubach's .250 against him. Tough choice, but I think Pauly should get some more rest.

48 at the time. Would have been 53 if he were alive today. He's the oldest out of 10 kids. Was my half-brother, as my 3 sisters and 4 brothers had a different father. Only me and my twin bros (age 36) are from my father. I'm the youngest at 30. Dammit! My twin bros birthday was 2 weeks ago. UGH! I forgot...

it's just funny how tomorrow is the 5-year anniversary of his murder, and someone here asks about Oak Park. Couldn't help but reminisce.

Concussion, broken left arm, broken left hand, broken left thumb (in that order...thank God I'm not a southpaw).

I only do h2h leagues but I'll dabble in the occassional pointsor roto league. I guess I'll be pre-ranking too unless you can move the time up 2 hours (7:30pm CST instead of 5:30pm).

...once he starts hitting in AAA: http://www.dailyherald.com/sports/sox.asp?...?intID=37756172 Stuck in the middle: After batting a sizzling .420 at Class AAA Charlotte, center fielder Willie Harris is still trying to get untracked with the White Sox. Batting .138 since coming up from Charlotte on May 2, Harris was replaced by Armando Rios on Wednesday night. "I think he'll be fine in center field,'' manager Jerry Manuel said of Harris. "We just have to give him some time. The key for us again is that the middle part of the order kind of carry that burden ... right now until guys like Willie and Joe Crede begin to add to it.'' Aaron Rowand was sent down to Charlotte with a .133 batting average, and he's hitting only .227 in the minors. Should he find his stroke, Manuel said Rowand's job as the Sox' starting center fielder will be waiting. "When Rowand is swinging real well and they think he is ready to come back to the big leagues, he'll be a guy that will come back and we'll do what we can to get him in there,'' Manuel said. Why can't we just TRADE for somebody DECENT instead of waiting for someone to get back on track???

Encarnacion has less then Derrick Freakin Lee for crying out loud. Lee has 11, Encarnacion, 10.

I got Fisk's rookie card autographed in '83 when I was only 11 years old. Sold the card years later for $500 (needed money for a vacation to Cali to visit my brother). I regret it to this day, and since it was '83 that coined the phrase Winning Ugly for the Sox, I took the name on the espn board in late 99 when I started posting there. It was also the name of my fantasy teams for years. It has more meaning then just the '83 slogan. By getting the $500 for Fisk's rookie card autographed, I considered it me "Winning" but it was an "Ugly" way to win.

I used to live in Berwyn and Cicero but occassionally worked in the other True Value my boss owned in Oak Park. Very diverse, but good place to live. My sister-in-law has lived there 15 years now and won't move even though she lives in a huge house off of Wesley and it's just her left in the house. My brother was killed in '98 downtown taking the Congress home from work, and my niece and nephew are off to college. That should tell you something there, her allegiance to the city. Plus, good bars there. Can't remember the Irish pub I used to frequent...

Hudson gives up 1 run through 8 innings and the A's still lose to the Tiggers. Hurt my fantasy leagues for sure. 3 W's for the Tiggers this year against the A's.
