  1. QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Apr 10, 2005 -> 04:11 PM) Without question it's C Lee. I witnessed his talent as a CubKilla in person both at the Cell & at Wrigley. I will always think of Carlos when they play the chi-town series. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 10, 2005 -> 04:14 PM) A jugger post without numbers

  3. QUOTE(El Piervizdyeguchansodnik @ Apr 10, 2005 -> 06:01 PM) LF 2B DH 1B RF CF C 3B SS Seems like whoever is playing in a certain position is playing where his defensive position dictates. Timo batted 5th yesterday. Ozuna leading off today. What's with Ozzie?? I assume he wants the rest of the guys to stay in a comfort zone.
  4. Figures a government worker would criticize other government workers for not spending every last dime of our tax dollars. What a concept. A government worker or agency not spending every last dime and actually being responsible like private industry? Eliminating waste. Maybe we budgeted too much money?
  5. QUOTE(winodj @ Apr 10, 2005 -> 02:46 PM) Maybe its because there's very little positive about DeLay. Does coverage of Chappaquiddick in 1980 during Kennedy's run for the Presidency show a then anti-Massachussets bent to the media? Are you trying to deny a media bias against Texas? It's everywhere.
  6. QUOTE(winodj @ Apr 10, 2005 -> 01:20 PM) So you think its ok for Congressmen to say you can understand why someone would want to murder a judge if they're from Texas? I think if someone from Idaho said it, it wouldn't get national attention. The only other Senator to be quoted just happened to be from Texas? That's a 50-1 shot. Just proving the Texas bias in the media. I haven't read one positive piece on Delay in months. Talk about unbalanced, biased, coverage. 100% negative articles. :headshake

QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Apr 10, 2005 -> 01:09 PM) Try a Mercury Maurader X-100 from 1969 - I swear my queen sized bedroom set could fit back there lol. Gotta love a gal who thinks about the best car for it. Does the tiara fit as well?

QUOTE(Be Good @ Apr 10, 2005 -> 11:38 AM) I haven't but my car is definitely big enough for it No car is too small.
  9. I'm pulling for a bunch of them, Olivo, Koch, Maggs, Lee, and Alomar. Actually I cannot think of anyone I am pulling against.
  10. His best move was buying Esteban Loaiza low and selling him high.
  11. This probably shines such a spot light on him, he'll have to stay clean. This pair knows the laws better than most now. It also exposes him a little more.
  12. When Carl was in Texas, the team loved him and had a bunch of great things to say about him. All his negative press was during his Red Sox days.
  13. A.J. was not part of that deal and there was no way at the time of the trade for KW to know he could get an upgrade at cacher. IIRC he was touting the skills of one Mr. Davis and discussing how Olivo was part of their 5-year plan. You need to compare each event singularly. The AJ signing was a very good move. The trade is also a good move so far. If Reed is hosting the RotY trophy, as some have predicted, maybe it's a draw or worse. I do know the pitching staff is looking like one of the best in my memory. If we are discussing a before and after KW, then all the trades, drafts, and signings need to be included.
  14. Radke is correct, because baseball enacted that April wins only count for half rule. I'd rather have a May headstart then be making up ground.

  16. QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Apr 10, 2005 -> 10:10 AM) Don't hide little girl. We know how you combine two loves; Brian and his "muscle car".
  17. QUOTE(winodj @ Apr 10, 2005 -> 09:27 AM) I'm sorry, that square is closed, you'll have to move your queen to the back of the line. And BTW, Kap, there is standard chess notation; you probably meant to write Qe2 The only difference between this and that was the post were slower to be read. Making friends, enjoying a shared interest. It was the precursor to Internet message boards.
  18. Notice all the quotes were Texans, like they are the only conservatives in the world. More media attacks against Texans. :headshake

  20. Happy Birthday
  21. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 05:22 PM) big mistake. How did the guy go from leaving the park yesterday, to being ready today? Radke was probably gonna light him up anyway, Girland's chances just got worse. Need a little pico de gallo with those words
  22. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Apr 10, 2005 -> 09:00 AM) Remember the sweep in May last year IN Minnesota and we were all talking s***? Then the next series against them, was the famous Torii Hunter incident and they swept us in Chicago? This is a good start, but it don't mean s***, fellas. If this were September, we could talk a lot more s***. We HAVE to keep our perspective. It's early, bravo guys, but August and September is when these games in April really mean something. Good Mourning Mr. Kap "Rain on the Fun" oMET of course you are right
  23. When I was playing postal chess, in the pre-internet days, a requirement was to track time. I was surprised how consistent the Post Office was. Rarely did a piece of mail vary by more than one day. I remember a guy I was playing in Sandusky, OH. Every card took exactly 3 days to him. I have never had a piece of mail missing.
  24. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 10, 2005 -> 01:37 AM) They also threw Paulie's homerun ball back. They did the same thing in the first game of the series. They're like friggin' Flubs' fans. Losers. I wish it would happen in every ballpark. One more unique Cub tradition gone.
  25. In the meaningless stat department because it's after one week, The Sox are #5 in MLB in Home Runs this season. Linkage #22 in average #3 in stolen bases
