QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Apr 8, 2005 -> 11:11 AM) Well there was "Sex Party" Ryan during the race with Obama that got the investigative dirt hammer dropped on him and he was from Illinois. Yeah, I forgot about him, and Rosty. Maybe this isn't as much about bias, or maybe they are better at hiding it than I thought? Regardless, remove him from leadership positions, but let the voters in Texas decide on the Hammer. Plus, don't we need a guy named the Hammer in Washington? WHat else is he going to do? Kills bugs or join the WWF?
  5. QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Apr 8, 2005 -> 10:17 AM) Looks like Mike will be doing a lot of oral once he gets into prison ..... Singing in the Prisoner Talent Show?
  6. QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Apr 8, 2005 -> 01:21 AM) http://www.dailycampus.com/news/2005/04/06...67.shtml?page=1 What group of self respecting Republicans believes that the best person to discuss their political ideology is a steroid abusing former pro wrestler who desperately needs money and refers to himself in the 3rd person using his wrestling gimmick? PS: Critic, Showtime or anybody who would know -- I heard he actually changed his legal name to Warrior. True? I do! But I'm just a Republican, not a self respecting one, does that still count
  7. What is the most damming to me is all the kids that Jackson has paid off. At some point don't you think Jackson would have been smart enough to stop putting himself in these positions?

Like many Patriots before him, the Hammer is a target for trying to do too much to help Americans. I've stopped believing a lot of what I read and hear in the media. Besides, much of this is just accusations that have not been proven. We'll see what the voters in Sugarland think about it next election. Here is a guy that has unselfishly given 20 years of his life to public service, it's like booing Michael Jordan at the end of his career. This really is an extension of the attempts to first discredit Bush, then Chaney, and now the Hammer. Notice they are all Texans. Notice they aren't digging up stuff on Hastert who I am certain must have a couple skeletons in his closet. Oh wait, he's from Illinois.
  14. QUOTE(winodj @ Apr 8, 2005 -> 08:05 AM) What color ribbon supports poor labor conditions and exploitation of workers in Chinese factories? Oh, thats right, all of them.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 8, 2005 -> 08:05 AM) I went to a college that established the first Peace Studies program in the nation, so as you can imagine, Rush was not very cool. 16. A world with nothing but Hawks or nothing but Mariottis would be boring at best. I am thankful for both of them.

This is the beauty of America. We take a nice sentiment or even a good idea, and cram it down everyone's throat until it stops. In this case, it was screwed up from the earliest I can remember the whole ribbon thing. During the Iran Hostage someone with an IQ hovering around room temperature heard that Tony Orlando and Dawn song about tying a yellow ribbon and did it for the hostages. Next thing you know, K-Marts everywhere are out of yellow ribbons and if you don't display a yellow ribbon, you must be for the Iranians, you un-American not displaying a ribbon commie.

QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Apr 7, 2005 -> 09:48 PM) Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while. It says something about Delay's f***ups when even Ailes and FNC won't defend him. And Tex, at the very least he should step down from his position in the Ethics Committee (I mean, Hell, the GOP even removed a rule put forth during the "Republican Revolution" of 1994 that they used to politically target a few Democrats saying that if you were under investigation then you could not be chairman of a committee -- of course when Delay was being investigated, the GOP just removed that pesky little provision since they were on the wrong end of it now) Hell, Where's Ken Starr when you need him? And lets not even get into his threats against judges -- http://rawstory.com/exclusives/byrne/laute...schiavo_401.htm I gotta agree with him stepping down from leadership positions. What bothers me the most about this is they took their best shot at him, it didn't bring him down, and now it's petty little stuff. If the Dems cannot win that seat the next go around, they do not deserve it.
  19. QUOTE(TheBigHurt35 @ Apr 7, 2005 -> 03:22 PM) Wow, that's completely screwed up. And I thought that they were just exaggerating in Friday Night Lights. Hopefully he'll be apprehended before he does more damage. During football season the Rio Grande Valley teams will be in 12-14 games at various levels each week. The local sports radio station will have reporters at every one. The TV news will lead with football action and it will take up at least 3/4 of the expanded sports coverage. The average fan could name a dozen of the top players by name. In Donna, Texas varsity players were caught putting on gloves and sodomizing underclassman as a kind of initiation. The coach tried to cover it up. The School Board fired him and parents were up in arms and protesting his dismissal. Could be he led them to the state playoffs last year. It is the craziest thing I've ever seen.
  20. If we were offered 2-1 at the start of the series, I would have taken it. Ozzie cannot make plans in case his closer is giving up 3. No manager can.
