Isn't Metallica the band that lost to Jethro Tull for a Hard Rock / Metal Grammy? You know, the guys with the heavy metal flute, as compared to a light metal flute just asking

My understanding is they found a small hair stuck to the speck. DNA testing confirmed it was from Dick Clark

Of all the sports baseball is the hardest to draft and the one that looks at their big league roster the least. Basketball the player has to fit and probably will play now. Football, need comes into play, the top players drafted will probably be playing in a season or two. Hockey we can talk about when it becomes a sport, not a negotiation.

#5 new deli pun is groaner #4 again pla on words with Big Mac groaner #3 A little better, too close to the line #2 I thought was ok #1 Best of the list and kudos for making it work with the song. Overall, not a great list But 1 for 5 will make you a 3rd baseman

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Apr 8, 2005 -> 01:29 PM) Teams never draft because of a need on the major league team. They draft the best overall player. Kenny felt Fields was the best overall player, so he drafted him -- not because of Crede. Agreed. Plus we have Kenny "trade 'em all" Williams at the big league level. MLB draft picks are like buying lottery tickets. Just buy a lot of them and hope someone pans out.

While we are discussing Channel 11 for us grown in Chicago types, which was worse Zoom or Electric Company?

QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Apr 8, 2005 -> 01:19 PM) The best thing is that they used to act like it was 100% real. I remember seeing John Stossel get tossed by a wrestler for asking about it being fake. Now they acknowledge its fake. Like we didn't know. Hush your mouth. Some here still believe . . .

With the Sox current payroll, we are going to have a couple Crede's on the team. Middle to low production, middle to no pay. I think it is a good sign over all that he's our biggest concern.
-
QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Apr 8, 2005 -> 01:12 PM) that doesn't mean its not ridiculous. A bunch of guys pretending to beat each other up...don't get me wrong, I loved it when I was in grade school...but since then it all seems a little ridiculous. Could it be that this is the worlds longest running April Fools Joke perpetuated on the American public?

The prison system dos have a legal, and I would add, a moral responsibility to their "guests". With that in mind, he could, and should, receive treatment and incarceration in a facility where he would be safe. That is the right thing to do. Perhaps a woman's prison At least he has his music. There is some good going to prison advice here for the King of Pop!

QUOTE(3E8 @ Apr 8, 2005 -> 01:05 PM) He was a solid minor league hitter, I just keep hoping for him to breakout. Is that a coded reference to steroids?
-
Lucky for him he plays third, a tough to fill position and will get a couple dozen more chances than a right fielder. I think he's a couple lucky hits in a hitting streak away from being a solid everyday mlb player. I just have a feeling if he ever got on a couple week run, he'd be ok for a long time. Any thought that maybe he's too nice?

Is there another Sox player under more pressure to perform than Mr. Joe Crede? He was suppose to be our rock at 3rd for a generation. Kids were going to grow up not knowing any other 3rd baseman. Then he stepped onto the major league field and was given a full season to perform. Then another, and another. Now he's tinkering, second guessing at the plate, probably cannot find his old groove, and when he does, he cannot trust it. He cannot give himself to that feeling and just perform. No one has the ability to think and hit a curve ball. I think, therefor, I'm a AAAA player with MLB talent.

QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Apr 8, 2005 -> 11:54 AM) A little off topic...but if you are an adult and you watch this stuff and attend wrestling events, I think something's wrong with you. Its all so absurd. only if you take it seriously or as a sport flame suit on

Saint Dennis was this first Saint to be accused of being on steroids . . .

What do you expect (Realistically) of El Duque?
Texsox replied to Butter Parque's topic in Pale Hose Talk
IMHO, don't watch. I do not feel good about this game. 5 ER in 5 innings. BTW, don't forget to play White Sox YNOT and PTC in the Contest Forums. -
QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Apr 8, 2005 -> 11:11 AM) Well there was "Sex Party" Ryan during the race with Obama that got the investigative dirt hammer dropped on him and he was from Illinois. Yeah, I forgot about him, and Rosty. Maybe this isn't as much about bias, or maybe they are better at hiding it than I thought? Regardless, remove him from leadership positions, but let the voters in Texas decide on the Hammer. Plus, don't we need a guy named the Hammer in Washington? WHat else is he going to do? Kills bugs or join the WWF?

QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Apr 8, 2005 -> 01:21 AM) http://www.dailycampus.com/news/2005/04/06...67.shtml?page=1 What group of self respecting Republicans believes that the best person to discuss their political ideology is a steroid abusing former pro wrestler who desperately needs money and refers to himself in the 3rd person using his wrestling gimmick? PS: Critic, Showtime or anybody who would know -- I heard he actually changed his legal name to Warrior. True? I do! But I'm just a Republican, not a self respecting one, does that still count

What is the most damming to me is all the kids that Jackson has paid off. At some point don't you think Jackson would have been smart enough to stop putting himself in these positions?
