  1. I have a tatoo on my ass that reads Exit Only In three different languages.
  2. The Royal fans are all bummed that Graffy is out 15 days with a torn miniscus. Seems he has rapidly become a fan favorite. They are talking how he played through some big pain and some of their other players are out for far less. I always liked him and I hope he recovers quickly, and as long as the Royals are swimming in last place quickssand I hope he continues to play well.
  3. Anyone have a scrolling news and sports ticker running on their computers? I was thinking of adding one and started to worry about pop ups, spyware, etc.
  4. I know I'm old, but I do not remember direct ads for cash like this. And doesn't Kerry know it will be a Marine One flight over the Capitol to Air Force One which will be renamed in route? Bush won't take a bus.
  5. Dan Patrick had him on his show a few weeks ago. They are working on a I Love Dan Patrick for his other side.
  6. We are hitting a stretch where we do not need a 5th starter. If Wright pitches well "down on the farm" he'll be back. It's still too early in the season. This keeps him pitching and staying in his rthym.
  7. Since we are coming to stretch where we will not need a 5th starter, my guess is if Danny pitches wright and not wrong, he may be recalled when we need a 5th starter. This keeps him pitching and staying "on days". A telling tale will be how well his starts mirror the ML rotation.
  8. Why risk driving through flood waters? :headshake
  9. Rafa, Nothing will happen. That is the US society. We are free to do that. If I understand your remarks, it is ok to infer that Nuke tortured Iraqis, but it isn't ok to call him names and laugh at him? :headshake What a f***ed up country Brazil is.
  10. Y'all can laugh at That 70s Show. I graduated High School in 1979. It's all just good memories
  11. From Southsider2K4 It takes a real man to admit when he is wrong. I am overcome with emotion
  12. At first I was worried that sometime down the road you would run out of Elvis impersonators for your sig. The I found the Elvis Impersonator Web ring.
  13. Excuse me but we aren't making money with this war. Once again my tax dollars are going to bail out some f***ed up country. I guess I just do not understand the customs in Brazil. It's ok for you to infer that Nuke may have committed an unspeakable crime against humanity, yet it isn't ok to reply with a one-fingered salute. Amazing country you live in. So let me try and be a Brazilian. "Have you f***ed any small children lately?"
  14. We had compiled the list of a work history via bathroom habits Never goes: New employee, still meeting everyone Finally goes: Met everyone, quick in and out Don't go in there! *laugh* been here a while, happy with job and co-workers Pisses on floor: He's got the resume out Leaves a surprise dropping: Resume success, he's out of there
  15. Starting replying to anything that contains the words Israel and Palestine
  16. Too bad your country wasn't there to help. The mistake you are making is painting such a broad swipe with your brush. Of the hundreds of thousand United States Troops that have been in and out of Iraq, we have a handfull that broke our law. THey will be prosecuted for their behavior. A key difference from when Sadamm was running the country. We found out, investigated, and will punish severly those responsible. To try and draw Nuke_Cleveland into this was insulting and you know it. Which escaped Nazi that settled in Brazil was your grandfather? I'm just asking a question.

    Tribute - Or Not?

Everything in the media can be shown to have a politican context. Show a majot crime in Dallas, that could have political undertones. Any coverage of the war can be considered political. Point a camera at a corpse and that gives one view, point it towards a smiling Iraqi is another view.
  19. This from a guy who defended locking up and charging a $25,000 fine a pilot for flipping off a security guard in his country. :headshake

    Tribute - Or Not?

Link April 29 (Bloomberg) -- Sinclair Broadcast Group Inc. ordered its ABC affiliates to preempt tomorrow's broadcast of ``Nightline,'' which will air the names and photos of U.S. military personnel who have died in combat in Iraq, saying the move is politically motivated. ``Despite the denials by a spokeswoman for the show, the action appears to be motivated by a political agenda designed to undermine the efforts of the United States in Iraq,'' the company said in a faxed statement. Sinclair, which owns 62 U.S. television stations, said ABC is disguising political statements as news content. Nightline anchor Ted Koppel will read the names of the more than 500 members of the U.S. armed forces killed in Iraq as their photos air in pairs, the network has said. Their names, ranks, branches of service, hometowns and ages will be listed under the photos. The entire broadcast will be devoted to reading the names. The 30-minute program airs at 11:35 p.m. New York time on ABC, a unit of the Walt Disney Co. It will include those certified as killed in action by the Pentagon between March 19, 2003, and the date of the broadcast. Because of the list's size, Nightline will only be able to devote seconds to each casualty, executive producer Leroy Sievers said Tuesday. Sinclair owns stations affiliated with ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC, WB and UPN in 39 markets. In an e-mailed statement, ABC said the broadcast ``is an expression of respect which simply seeks to honor those who have laid down their lives for this country.''
