The Dodgers and baseball's problem is if he wins the appeal the protests and advertiser boycotts that would follow him playing would be more expensive than his contract. That's there biggest issue. It's not just a Dodger issue. I could see each team tossing in $2 mil and telling him to go away.

There were guys that received zero games for doing the same. At one time what a man did with his property was his business so beat your wife it's your business and she's your property. Times change. Punishments change.

Wow. I wish I wasn't, but I am surprised. I expected he'd be eligible around the trade deadline this year. I still don't see him ever playing again. If he loses the appeal does he retire? Japan? Independent ball?

It's his first season in a MLB dugout. He seems like a bright guy, I'm certain he will learn the MLB mentality and do better in the future.

I agree there aren't two teams better than them. But they don't have to be better, they just have to play better. And to me there are a couple teams capable of playing better than the Sox.

Thinking other options . . . Can he play multiple infield and outfield positions? Bat .040 anywhere from 2nd to 9th in the order? Seriously, I'm in the don't break what is actually working.

Isn't it already ugly? We were the worse AL team over the last ten games and tied with the Reds for worst in baseball with no help in sight.

Before opening day I predicted a third place finish but got excited after the first week. Now I'm back to thinking third place. They got lucky last year and stayed somewhat healthy, I don't see their health luck happening two years in a row. We have crappy scrappy durable backups and injury prone starters.
