Don't forget, Tex.

I wrote 50% more checks last year than the year before. I went from two to three. I haven't bought new checks in over ten years. Lol

I heard so much about it I started playing it, but I don't know how long I'll keep it up. You just take 3-4 guesses to get a word.

It's basically word sudoku

I've gotten a few Wordles correct, but just barely missed a few also,

My process has changed since I started, I'm genuinely thinking about it differently from the start now

I isolate the vowels first. Most five letter words follow one of two consonant/vowel patterns.

c v c v c  (polar)

Or

cc vv c (dream)

The curse of being an English teacher.

Both my boys and girls varsity won today. Fun day.

What the heck is going on folks? People are allowing their neighborhoods in a once great city to be terrorized?

https://patch.com/illinois/beverly-mtgreenwood/3-vehicles-carjacked-midpointe-apartments-cops?utm_term=article-slot-1&utm_source=newsletter-daily&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=newsletter

To my fellow Chicagoans who love our city ... I was planning on coming back to the south side for a Sox series this summer and or some time in my old neighborhood, Mt. Greenwood, south of Midway. Shoot me straight please. Is there a good chance my car will be jacked if I return? Is there any reason at all to stay at the Hilton on 95th Street? Are we to the point it's too dangerous to visit my city? How are people standing for this b.s. I read the Patch and car jackings in Beverly and Greenwood areas appear COMMON! It's outrageous. Please let me know if this is a problem or not for vacationers.

Take the NRA sticker and put it on your car. Let's folks know you're armed and won't play the victim. 🖤 You could hire yourself a bodyguard for a couple days. Cheap insurance.

That Hilton has dropped off I would not stay there.

You may want to avoid Midpointe apartments as well.  I assume you know where those are at and this story should not surprise you.

Carjacking is a national problem

'It's a disturbing trend.' Cities see large increases in carjackings during pandemic

That's after carjackings were up over 100% from 2019-2020. But yeah, not a Chicago problem.

It's the city's program to encourage residents to use public transportation. Brilliant.

No Texas cities. I wonder if allowing anyone in the state to carry affects that number?
