  1. Here's my prediction. They don't finish the season. There will be too many sick players and the season will be called off by the middle of September. If the owners truly wanted a shorter season they should have used the safety of the players as justification.
  2. If I was a player, he'd be my agent.
  3. Practice treating patients.
  4. That's my judge.
  5. The owners signed and agreed to contracts based on fans attending games. Most of their revenue and expenses are known before they sign those players to contracts. They "guarantee" their profits always.

I appreciate the cult like following some owners have for their cars. I was never a car guy and find it interesting. It doesn't really matter if it's one of those Ford pissing on a Chevy sticker or other car owners that know every driver that drives for "their" brand. I can't think of anything guys obsess over more.
  7. So you're from Chicago! What part?
  8. I disagree. Fining one business a $1000 per incident for not having customers wearing masks is easier and less confrontational than fining individuals. Our major grocery chain received a petition with other 200,000 signatures wanting them to require masks so the public seems behind it.
  9. We're big in Russia!
  10. It is more nuanced than that. What Texas Governor Abbott did was make it impossible for local governments to make a law requiring individuals to wear a mask. What local governments can do, and the governor agreed, is make laws requiring businesses to require masks for customers and employees in their stores. He gets to keep his personal choice GOP street cred while allowing local mayors to run their cities. Best of both worlds.
  11. They are unlike Texans who are happy to die to save the economy for the young people. /sarcasm
  12. Owners: It looks like we're going to make $20 are you happy with $10? Players: Sure Things change in the world Owners: Now it looks like we'll make $10 you happy with $5 Players: No, we'll stick to our deal
  13. High School Graduation 2020 Well we are holding our graduation over three days. Basically a student arrives and they stay in their cars with their family until all of their guests arrive, We escorted them to the cafeteria where we had a screening program set up. If anyone in their group had a temperature of 100 or above the group was escorted out of the building and a lot of disinfection happened in that area. We moved to the auditorium one family at a time with a photographer set up. The graduate walked across the stage while the family watched from the center aisle, heard their name announced, took a couple picture. We exited the other side, took one more photo with our bigger than life size bronco and they were quickly, but respectfully whisked off campus. Most families were in and out within fifteen minutes.
  14. I thought desperation trolling would be beneath you. Perhaps it's a sign you're bored with the Greg act, I know we are. Just register a new name and quietly start posting. We don't want you to go away, just the ridiculous character you've created.
  15. Well bless your heart. Your computer can only access one website and you picked ours. Be careful on that stack of bibles, they get stacked mighty high there in Kansas. We don't want you to fall and hit your head again. Anytime you want to drop the country bumpkin act it would be nice. There are some folks here that would appreciate your actual intelligent side. Perhaps make meaningful contributions to threads.
  16. Agree I "lost" almost $20,000 on my house last year. Yep, I spent about that in mortgage payments. Now let's look at my equity and how much my home's value increased.

About ten years ago I traveled the Natchez Trace Parkway and made many of the stops on the route and later other historical sites on my trip to Maine. It was my first real extended road trip through the south. One of the things that really stuck with me was all of the Civil War cemeteries throughout the south. Some are huge with tens of thousands buried and some are small with less than a dozen. Many only had Union soldiers buried in the marked graves, the confederate soldiers were unceremoniously dumped into mass graves. The victors were allowed to bury their dead in dignity. Most of the Civil War was fought in the south and the history is more in your face and alive than in the west or north. I have empathy for southerners that see that and want their ancestors remembered and not hated. Just like every war we fought, people fight because they are drafted and told to. They don't always have the luxury of agreeing with the cause.

There was a big surge of southern pride and the confederate flag in the 1960s. I'm wondering if maybe that had something to do with the civil rights movement or just the way it was back then.
  19. That's a blast from the past. Another "unique" player to wear the uniform. RIP
  20. Situations change. They couldn't start in March, so a new decision had to be made. It's billionaires fighting with millionaires over the money they receive from fans who can barely afford going to a game. And the thousandaires will pick sides? They both are to blame. Remember whose money it begins with that they are fighting over. Both sides are screwing over the fans.

They lost me with Paw Patrol.
  22. I'm guessing culinary tourism isn't a thing there in Kansas. How about dropping the Greg trolling act and register a different user name and start over? Isn't playing a country bumpkin getting tiring?
  23. Could we just turn this into a soap opera and we could tune in each day? Forget about ever playing. But at least make it entertaining.

You can't understand it for them.
  25. I had the test yesterday. Shit that swab is loooong and it goes up into your nose and then back down towards your toes and stays there for the longest three seconds of your life, Waiting on the results before being allowed into my oncologist's office.
