Fast reply works just fine, regular does not. I am finding the spots that use flash. Interesting.

On-line works bet for me because I am sending so many back to Chicago. I miss wrapping gifts.

I receive the parent's alerts from U of I and at least once a week there is a bodily injury crime. With so many young adults around, I am not surprised.

Christian kids having sex? I am shocked, not. And check out that list, I wonder how accurate it is. -
QUOTE (CrimsonWeltall @ Dec 9, 2011 -> 12:34 PM) I started a Weltall's House Ping Pong HOF and I haven't let ANYBODY in. Is there a beer pong division?

Yep, you got me. I was calling out everyone here that only blamed Paterno, which by your own admission, and I agree, is, wait for it, no one here. So I say I wasn't calling anyone out. You claim there wasn't anyone to call out. Yet somehow you keep accusing me of calling out people.

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 10:58 PM) See, you're doing this simply for the chance to debate. You knew from the very instant you posted that nobody else thinks of the LPGA as a major sport. Yes, I knew someone would post that baseball has the strictest standards. I withdraw my comment, I will agree with the previous poster, baseball has the highest standards of any major sport. Of the minor sports, the LPGA has the toughest standards, I do not believe there can be any debating that point.

Buehrle Signs with Marlins | 4 yrs $58 mil

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 9, 2011 -> 07:35 AM) I'd bet closer to $1.5. With the Marlin's new look? I think he can continue winning 14-15 games a season. If I had to pick from two choices, win 17 or win 10, I would take 17. Do you really think he will drop to 10 wins per season? -
Baseball gave 111 exceptions for "medications'

That reminds me of all the PGA tour players who need Beta Blockers for hypertension. John Daly called them out. He sees all these guys working out as he walks by the weight room smoking a cigarette and he says, they have hypertension?! lol -

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 06:19 PM) This. I want Buehrle to go 33-0. And the Marlins win 33 games. awesome post. -

QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 05:42 PM) I have a lot more faith that Dunn can turn it around than Rios actually playing like he gives a damn. I agree. And you know, they may be linked. But Dunn has to go first. -
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 7, 2011 -> 12:53 PM) He most likely will. But make no mistake, its still jail and you still have no free will. WIth someone as entitled as Blago, it will break him. This. But I do tend to agree with the sentiment that a prison can be too soft.

I think I stand by my belief that the LPGA gas the strictest standards. I also choose to not debate SS on whether we consider the LPGA a major sport, I will concede that point. But I will say I believe it is legit enough for this comparison.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 02:54 PM) Please tell me this was sarcasm? Have they changed their standards? It was the hardest to get into. It was based on winning tournaments and pretty much nothing else. No voting, just put up the results and you are in. It would seem like you need to win about 20 tournaments or more with a few majors tossed in.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 09:38 PM) you didnt nake any point. you still havent. you are attempting to call people out for some percieved slight on paterno. if paterno was a part of this cover up, f*** him. same for schultz, curley, mcqueary, spanier, the former police chief, the governer, and anyone involved. f*** them all. if paterno took more heat then them, oh well. it wont make me lose any sleep knowing he got bad articles written about him and he got fired. he deserves it. The only person calling anyone out here is you calling me out. I thought I made a very clear point. Everyone that knew about this and did nothing but sit on their ass should get the Paterno treatment. That is my point, can I make it any clearer? Everyone that knew and did nothing deserves the Paterno treatment. Sorry if I have over simplified my point. I don't believe it needs to be any more complex.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 11:41 AM) I think you folks should ask yourself a question... what kind of rebuild do you want? What Kenny appears to be going for... I think... is a 2-3 year timeline. That's what it looks like. He's asking for near-ready talent. The alternative to that is, you tear the whole damn thing down, and start building from the very bottom, up. But here is the catch - as enticing as that idea might seem, you have to look at history, and acknowledge that teams who attempt to go that cheap and young, typically don't create a contender in 2-3 years. They end up mired in for 5, or 10, or more years. Which do you want? Great point. I've lived through the era of make the playoffs every decade or so and it wasn't that great. I'm just not enamored with sitting on a boat load of minor league talent and hoping enough develop in 4-6-8 years to contend. So 2-3 years and hope a couple of guys rebound from career lows would be my choice. Plus, I think there is a core there that could make that happen.

QUOTE (GreatScott82 @ Dec 6, 2011 -> 05:12 PM) As long as it doesn't take away Viciedo's playing time, then im all for it. If it means less playing time for Rios, then I am all for it. This. Excellent summary.

This is just so sad. You send kids off to college, look at crime stats and such, hoping they will be safe.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 04:15 PM) again, oversimplification of a very complex argument. Cherry pick all you want I made a point that highlighted how most people were very quick to place a huge amount of blame on Paterno, they called for him being retired, and worse, yet others receive very little. Sorry if it is overly simplified. May I ask how I should make it more complex? I will try to be more complex in future posts if you will. Would you please explain how my point could have been made better without being too simple or cherry picking?

QUOTE (Rex Kicka** @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 03:53 PM) I support equality. Either all consenting adults should be allowed to marry, or no consenting adults should be allowed to marry. I think I'm ok with both options. If you would agree that people could participate in a non government sanctioned marriage ceremony or similar event to mark their union, I'll join you.
