  1. The Braves won the most games, season over. Let's celebrate.
  2. Nice to see Jose with a good game.
  3. Exactly. And September should be used to see who they are by playing the better teams head to head instead who gets to beat up in the Sox and As.
  4. There was a time there that GB and the Bears had the best linebackers in the game against the run. And with everyone in the division running on snowy winter grass outside it was a great strategy. Football in a dome just doesn't cut it for me.

Thank you for making me feel really old. ?
  7. So there are a good number of Sox fans that will drop baseball. Seems like a small percentage of an ever dwindling number. Of course when they become the Astros they will draw like crazy. But what, in over a hundred years of Sox baseball, would indicate that's even remotely possible? I imagine watering down the talent even more with a couple more expansion teams is possible. But I believe with JRs tenure as owner the other owners would allow him to move because they wouldn't want to be interfered with. What's good for the goose and all.
  8. Today MLB gets the Cubs with a 5/5 share of Chicago and gains 100% of a new region when the team moves.

I taught government. It's correct. You can report a crime, file a report with the police. They decide if the person should be arrested and a prosecutor decides if they should pursue charges. You can't demand someone be arrested and prosecuted. Well I guess you can demand it, but they don't have to do it.

We noticed while checking your background and media that you enjoy choking women until they pass out. If that a sex thing? No. I just like seeing them laying there like they are dead and think I did that. Seriously? No. I get my rocks off. Duh. Phew, I almost didn't hire you. But since it's a sex thing we're cool. What company would hire this guy and in what position? It's public.

Yes I am. I'm a teacher and teachers get fired all the time for that. Are you ready to employ someone, keep paying their salary, while your customers leave and your business declines? No business does that.
  13. He was another friends and family hire from a dark era in Sox history.
  14. We were this close to a battery of Spease and Mercedes. If Katz can cut that ERA in half the guy will really help AA
  15. Admitting you have a problem is the first step in recovery. While it's less change than most fans wanted, it's much more than experienced fans expected. We could win 70 next year!!
  16. I know in golf players at all levels will make changes to their swings while working with their coaches. I don't see why baseball players would be any different. Some players have stuck with their personal instructors instead of the team coach.

There are specific rules to follow including it be public and without serious injury.

It's undefined which gives prosecutors wide discretion in Illinois. Depending on POV does it waste tax payer money to try to prosecute without victims willing to testify?
  19. I'm willing to give Pedro another year with almost a new, plus it will be his, staff. All new hitting which is huge.
  20. Per SI https://www.si.com/fannation/mlb/fastball/news/chicago-white-sox-make-several-coaching-staff-changes-ahead-of-2024-season#:~:text=Hitting coach Jose Castro and, will be reassigned%2C sources said.
  21. Boston out of lives, Katz has eight more it seems.

On a practical note, you are correct. But to be accurate . . . A person doesn't press charges. They can refuse to testify. They can not report the crime. But only prosecutors have the legal authority to actually press charges and bring someone to trial. Imagine two gang members shooting at each other. Neither one "presses charges" so they can't be prosecuted? That isn't in the public's interest. There is only one state that recognizes mutual combat. Someone can ask you to assault them, they can write a nice note, etc but it is still illegal in all but one state. Again, most prosecutors would refuse to bring a case to trial if the victim refuses to cooperate. Especially if the victim hasn't also committed a crime. Which is a weird way to come back to the shooting. If the victim isn't cooperating why would police put any effort in?
