Foulke has the best bullpen numbers of anyone in baseball the last 4 years, except for Rivera. He had a bad half of the year, and corrected his release poiunt, and had an era under 3 for the season. If the numbers tell us he is one of the best, why woulsnt you want him here? By the way, except for Rivera, there arent too many closers who have succeeded without failure in the postseason. Foulke pitched a scoreless 9th in game one of 2000. If we get the run in the ninth, he gets the win.

My source has told me that there will be some sort of renovation done to the Upper deck. She has not heard what the exact details are, but she said the options are removing rows off of the left-field side of the Upper deck, and extended RF deck into a HR porch. The other idea is to chop off a certain amount of rows around the whole park, and put a roof over the top. I am curious as to which one you guys prefer. Word.

Neil Cotts belongs nowhere near the majors-he is not under control. To start him today was just another example of how Jerry Manuel thinks he knows more than most. Why not start Buerhle--to save him for the worst team in baseball? I would agree with this if we had a somewhat competant 5th starter, but he dont. Every game is important because you dont want to lose momentum, or exhaust your bullpen. As for Neil cotts, take your ass back to wherever, cause you suck dick!

Before Wells back went out he did pitch for us, and led the team. He tutored Buehrle who still credits him and others. He offered here first, and would've signed an incentive contract the same or less than the Yankees gave him. David Wells may be a tool, but he made the effort for us as long as he could. I agree. I think the point of this post was if Billy Koch recovered to pitch like he did last year, we would really have a strong bullpen. I don't think the point of the post was to bring Koch back and let him blow gameS again. I believe we need him in order to be successful in the postseason--I know its not too possible, but it's worth a shot.

tony i feel your pain believe me i do.. but if it werent a pipe dream and someone was really tryin to put together something awesome here then we would just drop the whole ball and get guys like bonds et el... to play for us for one season to win it all....... patching up this s*** with a stitch here and some glue there isnt exactly throwing together a contending team........hell we wouldnt even be in any race right now if we were still considered the west division.........good thing our division sucks so badly its the only thing keepin us alive......just some food for thought...... Thats ridiculous to think these players don't owe the game of baseball anything.

There is a huge difference--No matter how great Bonds is, he owes the fans and the game of baseball for the opportunities he has been given. If the excuse is his father is sick, obviously you cannot fault him for that. But if he doesnt participate because he does feel like it, he is an absolute asshole, and has quickly forgotten that baseball needs its super stars to give back to the game in situations like this. MLB as a whole is responsible for the success of Bonds, Sosa, and all of the other assholes making millions. They owe it to the fans and the game to show UP AND PARTICIPATE.
