They did offer one to him (or so was reported and backed up by a couple people, or so I seem to remember). They can't force him to take it. Had he taken it, the sox would be just as screwed because potentially they dropped an ass load of cash on a guy that can't play.

How? He has a potentially career ending injury, won't disclose information about how well his knee is healing and expects the Sox to just drop an ass load of cash on him? Maggs and Borass can and should shut their mouths or at least provide some proof rather than smoke and mirrors.

While neither Brian or I are Earnhardt fans, we will watch to see some of the early footage to catch some of the old time racers we like - David Pearson, Richard Petty, etc. The guy that is playing him gives me the creeps when I watch the commercials though.

That happened to me a couple months ago with a PC game. It was a 5 CD game and when I would get to the fourth CD it wouldn't load up. I looked at the back and it looked like only about half of what was supposed to be on there made it. The guy kept trying to tell me it was my system and I told him the hell it was look at the fourth CD. I got the replacement and it has worked like a charm.

My mom has had one her whole life. Because she used to be really heavy and had 3 kids, she will need a valve replacement (in part due to the murmur). Doc says it is no biggie. So far she hasn't needed it though.
