I mentioned that a couple times only to have a reply that he sucks or he is a career minor leaguer. To each their own, I guess. I'm glad to see he stepped it up when asked to do so.

This kid seems to be Todd Ritchie all over again and yet the Pirates seem to have GMs wetting themselves over him.

My great-uncles (if they were still alive) could tell you all about that. They came here with the shirt on their backs and three of them died millionaires (or at least very close to being millionaires).

Liek I said, look at Burke's numbers. He is doing the job. I never said he was the best, but catcher is hardly our biggest issue at this time.

Take a look at Burke's numbers and how the pitchers respond to him (early thread about pitchers' ERA best with him out of all the catchers we've had this year). Catcher isn't the highest priority right now.

We sell them, but we don't make them. We only have about 1/2 the line available that we used to have as well. They are slowly going the way of the dinosaur. The problem is that some engineers are having a tizzy about using cermic style instead (electrically similar part).

I gotta agree with Kapkomet on the likeableness (is that even a word? ) on the candidates. Cheney makes me sick and Bush, well, he just seems to come off as a putz (not saying he is, just that he comes off that way to me).

I think KW has given this team the tools to win. The problem is the players haven't been living up to expectations. Maybe if things don't go as KW planned (WS), it's time to blow up the core of the team.

I would imagine the park would be empty considering that most Cub fans are 'afraid' to go to the Cell.
