The radar was showing mostly southern cook being hit. 60-70 mph winds east of Midway and there is a tree in the road at 81st and Cicero. Some hail too. I am in north cook and it barely spit rain here.

total bases? (guessing)

Sounds pretty bad, anyone experiencing this storm first hand? Should I be prepared to chase deck furniture down the street and to be clearing the sewer drains?

Apparently you know nothing about driving in NASCAR. I still don't understand why so many shorts are in a wad over it. I can't stand basketball or golf, but panties don't get in a twist over it...

And my great-grandmother was 97 when she died, drinking chicago water for about 80 years of her life...I guess it affects everyone differently.

I don't know how clean Chicago water is or is not but my uncle-in-law has worked for the water reclamation district (sp?) for 20-30 years (possibly more) and he and his family drink it...

I picked up NHL 2001 a few months back from Game Stop for $4. I wonder how much they gave for a trade-in...

Short for Japinowski (or something close to that) - the name of the family that owned the chip company

In honor of the Jays suing Lays, what's your favorite chip? I prefer Jays.

Mystery Animal Possibly Spotted Again In Maryland JOPPA, Md. -- There may be more than one mystery animal running around Maryland; there are now pictures from a second sighting in Harford County. Images: Strange Animals In Maryland At the Mathis family's rural home in Joppa, they're used to animals, but not this kind. "I looked out the window and I saw something drinking out of the water trough," said Lisa Mathis. "It looked like something out of Lord of The Rings." "I couldn't figure out what it was," Mathis said. "I though it was a dog and then I looked closer and then I got the camera and pulled it in closer just so I could show the rest of the family." Mathis's sighting occurred about a year ago. They didn't think much of it until last week when home video of a very similar looking beast appeared on WBAL-TV in Baltimore. "I saw it and immediately though of this picture that my wife had taken," said Jon Mathis. "(It) looked exactly like the same animal." On their Harford County land the Mathises have seen all kinds of foxes and other animals running around, but never one like this. "I'm from New Jersey so I immediately thought it was the Jersey Devil," said Jon Mathis. "In New Jersey folklore, it's a wild beast -- sort of like the abominable snowman." "My first impression was this was a red fox with sarcoptic mange," said Paul Peditto from the Department of Natural Resources. With theories running wild, Maryland's Department of Natural Resources says it's very likely a fox, but even they can't be certain. "We can't discount the possibility that someone had some type of exotic mammal as a pet and released it for whatever reason," said Peditto. But even with maybe more than one so-called hyote running loose, DNR is going to leave the beast or beasts alone for now. "We would respond if we knew we had a public safety situation developing," said Peditto. "If we had an animal that was acting in a way that would put people in danger, we would respond immediately." The only way to find out what the animal is would be to trap it, but DNR says it would only do that if the animal were seen as a threat.

When I flew to San Diego last month I was so relieved when I got on the plane and saw about 15 - 20 Marines get on board. Flying there and back the plane was half empty and seemed to be mostly families and military.

Damn. Didn't think he would push it that far...

Our honeymoon (if we go on one after the wedding) is next October. But, we are planning a trip to NC to see the Canes (if there is a hockey season) and WolfPack football. We were thinking about flying, but it would be tough to get Brian on a plane and I have wanted to see the midwest/east coast in the fall...

Funny part is that I've only gone there for lunch 2 times in the last year and a half that I've been working here.

Why was he suspended? I didn't think he was that bad (or at least in comparison to other banned posters, lol), I think more people took him seriously than he intended in his comments.

People really have some big sticks up their ass tonight, don't they? Try this on for size, he's paid to be a setup man and he didn't do the job tonight, are you f***ing happy now?
-
Someone hand him the Tums next time, please?!
-
I was jesting, sorry I thought it was obvious enough to not use green, but be that as it may, he is paid to be a closer and he sure the hell didn't do that today.
-
So are the rest of us...

Why the f*** was that turd burgler in there pinch hitting? What the f*** is wrong with Ozzie tonight?!
-
No actually Marte is the dick for letting the go ahead runs score. Be that as it may, they better be awake tomorrow in Cleveland - why wasn't today a day game (too hot in TX)?
