Does anyone have any suggestions or know of decently priced reception halls on the southside of Chicago? We had one picked out (actually still have a hold on it), but after 2 weeks of communications, they just told us their minimum for a Saturday night wedding reception is 250 - we have 150-200 at this point. While we still have plenty of time, I don't want to wait too long to get the hall being that we have already set the date with the church and don't want to not be able to find a hall that is available.

I didn't bother watching either. Brian watched the first one and if Cameron Diaz hadn't been in it, I don't think he would have gotten through the first 10 minutes of it. :puke

It's a part of a larger group - I have to confess that I don't know for a 100% certainty. I know it was private before it was bought out and from what I understand I think it still is. The guy that owns us owns the Memphis Grizzlies. We are on pace to have something like 6-8 million in sales, what that translates into profits, I am not entirely certain (but from what has filtered down, the big cheeses were excited about the sales prediction). What I do know is that they said we are becoming more profitable this year after a slow period. This company has been in business for about 80 years or so (sometime in the twenties it began).

I read this on NBC yesterday...it made me sick. It's bad enough what happened to the little girl, but then to not have one family member speak up for her is unforgiveable.

Thanks for pointing this out to me - just read the yahoo article. Irbe is very close to retirement - something like 37 I think. I love the 'The Little Latvian Bastard' (a nickname Brian came up with for Irbe). If it gives him a chance to play for a team that is willing to let him play instead of relegating him to AA hockey (he was on the Johnstown Chiefs for awhile), Godspeed LLB! Since he is gone, Carolina needs to get a goalie to platoon (or take over the starting role) with Weekes because he has yet to prove he can handle a full season as a starter. Besides that, there were too many problems between him and the team last year. Also, I say platoon instead of signing a big named goalie because the just signed Cam Ward who I think is supposed to be an up and coming goalie and should be ready in a year or two (if they think it'll take longer, go for a good goalie, what the heck).

Where are these manufacturing jobs being created? It sure doesn't seem to be around here unless there is some creative accounting going on... There have been (and still more each month) factories shutting down completely or shutting down and moving either south of the border (Mexico, not Missouri) or to China.

Jury duting and voting are things that I make sure I do. Jury duty because, God forbid, I end up at the defendant's table, I want to think I will get a fair trial and voting so I can whine when the other person wins lol.
