Brian's mom and I were talking about March weather yesterday and she mentioned the old wives tale about if march comes in like a lamb, it'll go out like a lion. Given the beautiful weather yesterday, we are both thinking (and Brian mentioned this during the day yesterday) that we think we will get one more hit of snow.

He is still saying that there is nothing wrong. Just explaining what is behind the story of his hip. Sounds more like he doesn't want the hip thing to be an excuse for his poor performance. Is this a good thing or a bad thing? I don't know, but at least he is explaining what the rumors were all about.

The hospital she was rushed to would only accept the one that was on file with the nursing home that she came from. They lost it and it took them a few days to find it. Those few days were very painful for my family. In the long run, after my experiences with my grandparents and their doctors, I really think the medical profession should examine how the elderly are treated. I think this because I can tell you that they aren't treated, medically speaking, as they should be. Sorry that was a bit clumsy, but it's the best I can do while working lol.

They are very necessary. After what happened to my gramma, you could have one and if the hospital/nursing home/doctor misfiles it, they will continue to sustain life until they rectify their error.

My mom and dad didn't when my sister came home with news that she was pregnant (and not married) with a biracial child. They weren't happy about her being pregnant and not married (the biracial was a problem for my dad at first - now when my neph is over, my dad hogs his attention ), but they dealt and now love the little guy. My uterus (and certain other parts of my anatomy) were screaming in pain as I read that article. Best of health to the mom and babies.

It's interesting to watch the progression of a thread. This one went from a post about a dog abondoned on the expressway to republicans flipping off homeless people. And my Friday continues to suck....

I was responding to the tangent thread in here about teen kids having privacy. I understand parents can be monsters, but to allow all teenage girls to get abortions without telling parents because of the few parents that are monsters is...I don't know what it is, but it isn't right . Many of these girls don't tell their parents what is going on because they are scared not because the parents are monsters (this is coming from someone who was a teenage girl at some point in the past - I never had an abortion, but I knew a few girls from HS that did).

Sorry, cw, but kids can't legally (at least in the Chicago area) get their ears pierced or tatoos before the age of 18 without written parental consent. You can cuss and say it isn't true until you are blue in the face, it doesn't make you correct. I pray that when I have kids they have enough intelligence to go to an adult before running off to a bunch of strangers to get an abortion. Also, don't lecture me about sex abuse - I know about it all too well (no, I didn't experience it but I know several who have).

The hypocrasy of this whole situation is a part of the reason I no longer am a practicing Catholic.
