  1. Are those actual pics or are the people doctored in?
  2. It took me 2 hrs to get home last night because of the heavy rain...and damn, that really sucked.
  3. I don't know about bad, but definitely frightening. Since 'cohabitation' is seen as morally offensive by most heavily (and some moderately) religious, what's to stop a law banning marriage between two people that have been living together for any period of time? Some might say this is a stretch, but in these times, it doesn't seem like that much of a stretch. If something like this was instituted, Brian and I couldn't get married and that would suck.
  4. lol No need to be sorry - I thought I hit quote, but apparently I hit reply.
  5. lol I wasn't at opening day (coulda got tickets but I just started my job and had no time off available). I went to the Sunday rain shortened Mariners game. It started raining after the first pitch. He and I waited until they made it official that the game was being called. We were beyond soaked after that fiasco. Driving down the DR was a pain because you couldn't see the lines because of how heavy the rain was.
  6. I understand (and completely agree with) that, I was commenting on Zach's post about the rash of recent censorship.
  7. So is it that both of the carry the Stern show? Is that why Infinity is being fined?
  8. I don't buy into censorship too much - if you don't like it change the channel. There are several things I find offensive, so I don't buy them/look at them. It seems like a simple solution to me...
  9. Thanks for reminding me! I gotta ask my mom if the dafodils at home have started to bloom yet. I want to get a few pictures - I love those things.
  10. Pardon my lack of radio station ownage knowledge, but are Infinity and Clear Channel the same ownership group? Somehow I am not surprised by this connection being made. ABB!!!
  11. We're supposed to have a snow/rain mix after midnight and highs in the low 40s for the weekend...
  12. On my way to work today, I was able to drive with an open sun roof (moon roof, whichever the heck it is that I have ) for the first time since last fall. What a wonderful sound and feeling. Also, I got to break out my new Sox spring jacket. Even Brian the anti-Sox fan thought I looked quite snappy in it . The winter Sox jacket hasn't been put away yet, but it was great to breakout the spring jacket. Can't wait to start my garden and start some landscaping. Here's to spring !!!
  13. I-90 entrance from route 53 sucks ass. It causes traffic jams for people that are getting on to 53 from Algonquin road. Another ass sucking expressway is the DR during rush hour. My FMIL tells me about it all the time.
  14. I agree 100%. So far activity in ST has given me more hope than I had pre-ST. On a great side note, I broke out my new spring Sox jacket.
  15. Yahoo is where I start at and then I go directly to team sites if I want more. Occasionally I will go to USAtoday.com for sports, but that's when I am looking for minor league hockey scores mostly.

    Holy cow!!!

Would you mind sending the cat over to my house? We discovered a few mice in our basement ceiling...okay Brian did - the only mice I've seen and heard are my hamsters. We bought humane traps - didn't work, so we bought glue traps, poison and also the ultrasonic kind - using those in the garage for now and we will see if the hamsters hear them or not in the house (they are on the second floor and we are going to put that thing in the basement).
  18. Good luck - I am sure you'll be fine.
  19. I didn't hear/read the interview. What was the big to-do about what he said?
  20. Does this work? If so, it should show ST games. If not, I will delete this post.
  21. I think I understand the theory, but does it actually work? Back in the 80's the gov gave US Steel money to infuse into the Southeast Plant in Chicago. It was a grant and supposed to be used to improve the plant and keep it open. They didn't and the gov never went after them for the money since it wasn't used for what it was designated.

Cheng and Eng? Their story is a very interesting one.

    Broken hip....

Hell with 60 years ago, about 15 years ago it was considered terminal. My gramma in Ireland broke her hip and then had a hip replacement. Everyone (doctors) thought that was the end for her. She was scheduled for a second one (or at least needed a second replacement surgery) when she died from stomach cancer. or at least that is what my dad said Gram died from. July 2 will mark 12 years since she passed - I still look in the mail around St. Pat's day for the card and ribbon she always sent us. I try not to, but I can't help it. Also, I hope your gramma recovers fully and then some Steff.
