Hopefully I will catch that fever during spring training sometime!

The season is getting closer
I'm getting excited about watching baseball again, but I am not optimistic about the upcoming season for the Good Guys.

Engagement Rings
Gotta agree with ya there. It's the same story with my ring.

Oh, now women are terrorists?!

Engagement Rings
That's how I see the ring that Brian gave to me. To each his own (a.k.a. whatever makes ya happy).

Bottled Water
I drink my one bottle of diet pop a day and then refill the bottle with water from the cooler once or twice. At home I drink tap water or crystal light (wyler's light).

TV Shows
Discovery channel - specifically one of their prehistoric specials like yesterday's sea monsters or the dinosaur special they did a few months (or more) ago.

Engagement Rings
After Brian proposed on my b-day, we went out and I bought him a retro jersey. He calls it his engagement jersey. I guess if an engagement ring is 'marking territory' (which I disagree 100% with), I can only imagine what weddings are considered.

Grammy's Thread
Discovery has a great special on tonight. Pre-historic sea monsters!

Engagement Rings
LMAO! There is NO way I would have let Brian spend two months salary on a damned ring. Some of my friends were saying that the wedding is supposed to cost what you make in a year...my ass to that. We want to keep it as low as possible, preferrably between 5K and 8K.

Recipes
I can't help much on wine as I don't drink much (I'll drink a blush, but that's about it, except for tonight - I finished off the bottle of red wine I was cooking with - made homemade ravioli, it was needed in for the meat filling). Brian likes Italian so that is what I've been cooking. Lasana (even vegetarian style) isn't that difficult - since she will eat chicken or seafood - try either bits of chicken or seafood in place of the beef. If you are really interested in this, let me know and I will pm you a recipe I have. Homemade garlic bread makes a great side dish. As for what Baggio mentioned - I can't remember at the moment what recipies I might have mentioned, but I am beyond certain I can come up with a few chicken/broccoli/garlic deals. Let me know. Crimson - Brian would agree on your suggestion!

I used to go there almost every weekend when in high school. Their beef and fries were the best. I haven't eaten there in awhile. I might just stop there sometime soon.

Child With Two Heads To Undergo Unique Surgery
Damn. 90% of the way there...now I understand why the doctors were so hesitant about being optomistic. Hopefully they learn from this and can apply what they learned the next time a baby is born this way so that child survives. Prayers and thoughts definitely go out to her and her family.

Duh, forgot to mention - the above link is a yahoo link - don't know how long it will stay active.

So far so good! Almost there - the operation is 90% complete. Docs say they can't celebrate yet, but so far so good.

Mother Of 10 Pleads Guilty To Abandonment Charges
NBC5.com story I couldn't imagine having one kid at this point in my life (I'm 27), much less 10. Someone should have taught this woman about birth control. Also where the hell are the fathers at?! (If she even knew who they were...)

Has anyone been to Jenny's Steakhouse in Worth? How about Louie's Chophouse at 103rd and Cicero? I know there is another one just past Ridgeland and 111th, but I can't think of their name. I've only been to Jenny's out of that group and while the service sucks, the food is good.

Child With Two Heads To Undergo Unique Surgery
Yahoo has a more in depth story about this with a few pictures (might be the same in the other link in this post, but I can't access it so I don't know for certain). This is a yahoo link so I don't know how long it will last.

How do you think Brian gained 40+ lbs since starting to date me? This weekend I am making ravioli from scratch...I hope they turn out okay cuz I luv ravioli. I am going to try a new sauce recipe as well - I didn't like the last one I tried.

I am not sure I have an ultimate favorite but here are some of them: I love cooking Italian (Lasagna, ravioli, stuffed manicotti, baked mosticolli), pizza, any thing chicken and anything Irish (yeah, the Irish take a lot of crap for our food, but some of it is irrisitable to me), pierogi, kielbasa and kraut with butter beans and lazy pierogi are some of the dishes I like (that I can think of right now anyway).

I wonder what he did to screw up like that...
