Official NHL Playoffs Thread
Queen Prawn replied to WhiteSoxfan1986's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
I am not sure my heart is working properly after the last 2 minutes of that game. It was beating so fast that I could barely breathe and I definitely couldn't speak. I think Brian actually realized how much I live and die with my teams tonight. He was leaving for work after the Canes won and I was still shaking and my voice quivered. -

Queen Prawn replied to Queen Prawn's topic in SLaM
I just saw that one! I have a smaller version of it I bought about 5 years ago that "guards" our bedroom phone lol. -
I am starting to collecting the Lon Chaney figures - I have "Phantom of the Opera," "London After Midnight" and "The Hunchback of Notre Dame." I have them in the Silver Screen Edition (black, white and grey colorings) as opposed to the versions of the colorized figures. They have other ones available (which I may pick up at a later date). I've been getting them from the "Artbox" on 142nd and Cicero in Crestwood. I love that little store - they have so many horror movie figures as well as some of the MacFarlane action figures.

GAME THREAD 6-11-06 SOX vs INDIANS
Queen Prawn replied to NUKE_CLEVELAND's topic in 2006 Season in Review
According to yahoo this is a night game (ESPN game I am guessing). I was thinking it was a day game as well though. O yeah, GO SOX!!!! -
I know and that is the most frustrating part. This is another item in a long list of why I miss my father-in-law so much. He would crack me up and tell me to just let it go as no good can come of it and then let Brian and myself vent to him and we would all end up laughing and feeling better within a few minutes. Father's Day will be tough this year (it looks like it will be Brian's first visit to his dad's gravesite too).

I remember those - my brother would get one at the ice cream truck every now and then when we were younger. Lately I have had the worst hankering for a snow cone lol.

Mac and Harry fight in studio
Queen Prawn replied to Timoperezrulez's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
I cannot stand Harry - he always sounds like a sniveling brat to me. If I want to listen to sniveling brats, I'll go babysit the ones I know. lol -
Official NHL Playoffs Thread
Queen Prawn replied to WhiteSoxfan1986's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Yesterday's game really "hurt." First finals game I get to see and they lose. As badly as they played and as questionable as McGoo was, the Oil only managed 1 more goal, so I guess if I had to take a positive from the game, it would be that. I do not know if NBC had the crowd sound turned down, but the Rexall Place was nowhere near as loud as I expected. -
I was supposed to go and never got tickets (was going to take my mom and she decided she didn't want to go and I couldn't find anyone else that wanted to go).

[vent] I will never understand why my mother-in-law thinks she can talk s*** about Brian to me and think I will just smile and agree. I am so close to telling what I really think, that it isn't even funny. [/vent]

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jun 11, 2006 -> 07:47 AM) Moronatti has his say. That's a few minutes of my life I will never get back. While, to some degree, I agree the Sox players/coaches should keep their mouths shut about the roid issue until it becomes an issue the team is directly involved in, couldn't he have written the article without calling out the Sox? I guess not or else it would be a Mariotti column.

Queen Prawn replied to NUKE_CLEVELAND's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I had to leave mid 10th for mass so I wondered what happened. It's good to come home to a White Sox winner! -
how far has hockey fallen?
Queen Prawn replied to jackparkman's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 8, 2006 -> 01:21 PM) They said on PTI yesterday that the first game of the Women's College Softball World Series got higher ratings than game one of the Stanley Cup Finals. Yes, hockey has fallen off. I just realized the question was how far has hockey fallen off, and not whether or not it has. The answer, then, is "laughably." Considering it was on OLN of all f***ing stations (which unless you have comcast, you don't have), I am not surprised. To be honest, I see this as a similar comment to those who went on and on about low ratings for the last WS. I couldn't care less about ratings. I will continue supporting the Canes (who made a profit this year, mind you) and Senators as long as I can. GO CANES!!! -
QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jun 8, 2006 -> 08:47 AM) ...proof as to why Angelina is my #1 hottie. Hot, sexy, artsy, an activist and looks better a few days after labor than most women do on their best day. Considering the money has, she should. Health and happiness to the kid.

Official NHL Playoffs Thread
Queen Prawn replied to WhiteSoxfan1986's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Cam gets the shutout with a 5-0 victory. I guess the officiating was a bit screwy, but screwy both ways so there was at least the consistancy there that we (Canes fans) have been asking to get. -
Congrats - shes a lil cutie!
