The Canes just got royally hosed. I hope they do something with the remaining 1:55 of the power play. -
Game 7 -- Stanley Cup Playoffs

I cannot believe that the Caneshockey.com forums are down. That is total BS. I wanted to be in the game thread with the other fans that are not in Carolina for support. Holly has never thrilled me either, but I guess she is a student at NC State or something like that. -

I am thisclose to have a stroke waiting for this game to happen. Now I cannot get to the Canes message board. I keep getting "You cannot view this page, you do not have permissions..." i was just on an hr ago and have not done anything to get booted. I hope the board is up and running prior to game time. -
Prayers are out.

Oh joy. As if the Canes server didn't already suck, it is being over-ridden by trolls. Might as well use your plan, I can't think of anything better. Probably because my brain is completely fried after tonight. I just can't believe how badly they are choking. It somehow figures that as soon as they broadcast games I can see, the canes suck lol or maybe not lol. -

There is only so much the coaches can do at this point. I really thought having Erik Cole out there would have completely fired the team up. I do think Ward needs to be pulled and have Gerbs in for game 7 though. -

The way the canes have played the last three games (in spite of winning one of them to go up 3-1), it doesn't matter what the calls are in game 7. Unless they pull their heads out of their asses, they are on the fast road to infamy. -

Between the Canes not showing up and refs calling the Canes if they so much as cross their f***ing eyes at one fo the b**** oilers and not calling the oilers on a damned thing, they might as well had the f***ing cup to the oilers. This just absolutely sucks ass. -
Yeah, I know Fat Bastard just called to chew me out.

http://www.nbc5.com/news/9380110/detail.html Wife's Severed Head Flies From Truck When Man Crashes Police Found Wife's Headless Body At Home UPDATED: 5:52 am CDT June 16, 2006 BOISE, Idaho -- The severed head of a man's wife flew from his pickup truck Thursday when he crashed into an oncoming car, killing the driver and her child, police said. The head, which landed on the roadway after the crash early Thursday, is unrelated to the accident. Investigators said Alofa Time, 51, was driving erratically before the crash. The man was taken into custody after a Boise police officer witnessed the fatal crash Thursday -- and then discovered the severed female head that was ejected from Time's vehicle. The officer had been following the man's pickup truck on a city street when Time began swerving and then crossed into an oncoming lane of traffic. His vehicle struck another car, killing 36-year-old Samantha Murphy and her 4-year-old daughter, Jae Lynne Grimes. Another child in Murphy's car was injured and in stable condition at a Boise hospital. Police interviewed Alofa Time, who was not injured, and then obtained a search warrant for his home that he shared with his wife, where they found the headless body of his wife, 47-year-old Theresa N. Time. Police said she likely had been dead for several hours. A police spokesman called the case "nothing short of bizarre and tragic." Time was arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder in the double-fatal traffic crash ******************************************************************************** Prayers for the dead in this story. I have to come clean though. When I first read the title, the Queen song, "Gimmie the Prize" came to mind because of the line from Highlander that is interjected into the song: "The head at this time has no name." Yeah, I know, I know I am going to hell.

Close enough. "It can happen to anybody" if they have the brain of a hamster.
-
He actually said that? What an idiot.
-
Okay and that begs the question, why does the league tell them to do that?

I enjoy watching Pablo play as he looks like he just loves being out there. I was at that Rangers game and BA missed it anyway (let it get passed him) so they both botched that play, but considering it was already something like 6-2 when it happened, what was one more rotten play on the afternoon lol (yeah, I am joking)?

Since this isn't really about the , but baseball in general, I decided to post this question here. I've been thinking about this since I heard about the "warning" given to the and Rangers last night. Why do umps do this? Why not let teams settle things themselves? Like Coop said on the pre-game, sometimes holding the posibility of "revenge" over the other team's head is more advantageous than ever actually plunking a guy. I am guessing the reason is to protect the players and avoid . Sorry, but if one team plunks another once, twice or more, (and it was painfully obvious that it was not an accident) should they not have an opportunity to plunk back? Why should the umps take that card out of the plunked team's hands? They used to let the plunked team get their plunking in and then hand out warnings. Now, as soon as a batter is hit, both benches get warnings (or so it seems) and to me, that is weak. So now that I am done blathering on, what is your take on this subject?

If he feels no one needs that much money, why doesn't he lower the obnoxious costs on his products?

I think I need a course in remedial reading. I looked at the headlines on yahoo and I swear the one said, "Afghan penguins attack bus."

I do not know what to think after last night. I am just starting to be un-bummed. Brian thinks they were pushing too hard and that the clinching game is the toughest. I know Stillman is going to come out with guns blazing in Edmonton, but I do not know about the rest of the team. I really hope tahe Edmonton has blown their load, so to speak. I also hope Doug is okay. I am getting sick of the cheap shots by the Oilers - it's one thing to be hard hitting, but they have been bringing it to a whole 'nother level. If there is a game 7, I really think the Oilers will win the whole ball of wax. -
QUOTE(SnB @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 03:20 PM) Hey guys, say a prayer for my cousin. She's 16 years old, and i guess 2 weeks ago she wrecked my uncle's car, was illegally released from the hospital, then took a bus and ran away to LA with her friends. At first everyone was worried, but just thought it was an act of teen rebellion i guess. But it's been almost 2 weeks now, with my aunt and uncle searching for her in LA the entire time, and nothing has come of it. I never was really close to this side of the family, so I don't know all the facts and what was going on at the time. Hopefully something happens soon, Thanks guys. http://www.missingkids.com/missingkids/ser...earchLang=en_US I think I read about her on NBC5.com. Prayers are definitely out.

I was wondering why there was an article in pale hose about Riske. Good move.

Brats are my favorite and then the steak pita sandwiches would be my next favorite.

If it wasn't for that bogus speeding penalty, he likely would have finished 2nd or 3rd, but I will take a top 10 and enjoy it.
