  1. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 22, 2006 -> 08:48 PM) Cue it in 3...2...1... Where would he play? Sorry...couldn't resist.
  2. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 22, 2006 -> 08:45 PM) Vazquez has given up 12 runs to Oakland in his career. The problem? He's pitched 12 innings against Oakland in his career. Me after reading the first line: Me after reading the last line: :banghead
  3. Only a few more episodes of Deadliest Catch left.
  4. LMAO! Keep it up and I am unleashing the attack hamsters.
  5. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ May 22, 2006 -> 08:36 PM) Blaming a loss more on some silly Oakland A's curse than on Garland and his 6.27 ERA is ridiculous. Can't disagree with ya there.
  6. I had forgotten how entertaining these threads can be.
  7. Can we at least scratch out a run, sheesh. If I ever get my hands on that bloody telemarketer that keeps calling here, I am going to sic my attack hamsters on them - GRRRRRRRRRRR!
  8. At least (for me) it looks like the Canes showed up tonight (so far).
  9. I remember when Maggs was still with the Sox, he said something about AJ saying something to him when he popped up (or something like that) at the end of a game in Twinkieville. He is the kind of player you hate as an opponent but love when he is one of your own (so to speak).
  10. I feel for the guy. He had (might still have) some serious talent. Problem is that his pitching coach allowed too many innings pitched as a rookie as well as poor mechanics - not a good combo no matter how you look at it.
  11. I missed it too. All of a sudden I see the umps around Zambrano and Ozzie giving the ump an ear full.
  12. The ump on Anderson's back looks like he is affecting BA as much as a gnat would lol.
  13. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ May 20, 2006 -> 05:06 PM) Jeannie Zalasco has been hating on the White Sox since last years playoffs, i wasnt surprised when she inferred that AJ instigated that. She must have been the one who said before the game that this was still a Cub town.
  14. The one (and almost only) thing I can take out of today's game is that as badly as they played, Buffalo only managed one more goal. If they come out and play their game Monday, they will win.
  15. Woohoo! Now if the Canes can tie it up and then score the go ahead, I will be a very happy woman tonight.
  16. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ May 20, 2006 -> 11:34 AM) Throw in Konerko and that'd be one for the ages. No, no. That would be one that would TAKE ages to complete.
  17. I have to disagree with the chick from the pregame (not TWIB) that said this was still the Cubs town.
  18. My favorite line from the Yahoo story: "Minutes after the game resumed, the White Sox's Tadahito Iguchi hit a grand slam to give his team a 5-0 lead."
  19. QUOTE(JimH @ May 20, 2006 -> 01:22 PM) Not sure why Pierzynski got tossed, but I guess that's something the umps felt they had to do ... Then they need to review the rule book and get their eyes checked.
  20. Why the hell is AJ out?! He didn't take a punch and I don't care if he said Barret's mama was this that or whatever, he never touched the opposing players. So the f*** what if he slapped home plate - that's just AJ being AJ, not worthy of being thrown out of a game. Gooch rocks!!!
  21. QUOTE(beautox @ May 19, 2006 -> 03:41 PM) crazy little thing called GLOVE!!!!
  22. Uh-uh - the shirt and hat are not tampered with, just covered up
