WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Yahoo sucks, but according to the Canes board the Canes won on a goal by Wallin.

Actually it does depress me that I do not have OLN at this time (freaking lying Center Ice Bastards). I was posting in the game thread on the Canes board (only out of towners posting as all the NCites are at the game) when the posting died down mid third and I decided to jump in the shower before Brain leaves for work.

Good think I don't have OLN and decided to hop in the shower - I would have had a coronary at the computer lol. Here's to OT!

There were a bunch of Habs fans at the Canes board that were going on and on about how great ketchup chips were. Kinda made my stomach turn thinking about it. Not sure why since I like ketchup on my french fries lol.

Well, didn't expect the Sens to be down 2-0 against Buffalo. I hope they can wake up in time to make a come back in this series.

I don't like Lou's much at all. I like Nancy's, Palermo's and Ricobene's (shocked the hell out of me too when Brian made me try it a couple months back).

A perfect example was a race about a month ago, he knocked Truex out of the way, wrecking him and Jeff Burton. Towards the end of the race, Kenseth did the same thing to him. After the race he leaves his helmet on and as Kenseth was approaching him, he starts shoving him. Jeff B was driving by at the time and slowed as the action ensued. After the whole thing, Jeff B basically called him a hypocrite. Jeff Gordon has a history of being a whiny SOB. It's okay for him to wreck people, but as soon as someone does that to him, he whines a storm up.

I want to know what the heck Burton was thinking about when he went into the pits when they were closed. He cost himself the win there (at the time he was in third and charing hard for the front).

When my great grand parents came over from Poland, their big thing was, "We are American now, we must speak the language and observe the customs." That didn't mean letting go of who they were but, it did mean loving the country and doing what they could to make it better as well as make a better life for their kids. The biggest thing to them was making sure they spoke English so they could create the new life they did. They still spoke Polish at times, but made sure they could converse with people who were now their neighbors, co-workers and bosses that didn't speak Polish. When my dad came here, while he spole Irish English, he did have to "learn" American English to some degree (the three of us still laugh at my dad's version of the language at times, and yes he laughs as well). There is more to it, but I really need to get to sleep lol. At next opportunity, I will try to clarify what I am trying to say here.

Jim - love the avatar. Back on topic, I seem to remember seeing a special about this recently. Or maybe it was someone else, but the circumstances seem to be very similar from what I remember. I am not going to lie, I am for the death penalty in certain cases, but stuff like this shows me how it is unfairly and inaccurately applied.
